If you’re going to call a color, a watermelon red, then of course I have to do some watermelon nail art with it. Somehow I do watermelon art every summer and I never tire of it, so let’s take a look at this year. Version.

I always like to compare collections to polishes from the same brand that I already own. I know KBShimmer would never dupe themselves, but in this day, it is important to look at how we spend our money! As a note, over the past four years, I have been purging polishes and creating a blog post to sell them. That has not gone up yet...yup, four years! Included in that sale will be over 150 KBShimmer polishes. I simply cannot keep them all, and I have given so many away. And nail polish remover and cost money so hopefully I will get the blog sale up soon. All this to say, you may not see certain comparisons because I simply do not have the polish anymore or do not want to pull it out of a sales pile. So let's check them out!

It's time for KBShimmer summer! Next week is the Polish and Beauty Expo hosted by KBShimmer, so if you are going, you can grab these in person! I always wish I could go but the expo happens when I teach a summer class and since I have never been to Chicago, I would prefer to make a trip out of it and simply cannot when I am teaching (it is an in-person class). Oh well! For now, I can share these with you and see the event through everyone's photographs.

Today I have the Zoya color of the month and it is perfect for summer. I am bummed that June did not have a color of the month because I wanted to see what they would create for my birthday haha. But this color is summer awesome for July so let's take a look.

Hello everyone! I only have one Fourth of July manicure because frankly, I went on vacation a manicure for 10 days and then nothing for a while. Then I watched and then chopped all my nails off. So these are my current nails and frankly, I am loving the length. so I have not done stamping in a really long time and I decided to do a super simple Fourth of July manicure with some super simple nail art. So let’s check it out.

More Polish Pickup rewind! These two polishes from KBShimmer are similar base color vibes, but I love this shade of grey/blue. So if you have not grabbed these from their first release, now is your time!

I completely forgot about Polish Pickup Rewind for July! So I am here just to give you the details. Rewind allows makers to bring back fan favorites, so if you missed either of these, check out how to get them!

I didn’t have plans to do my nails because I knew I was going to do them before I went on vacation. But of course one of my nails completely chipped off in the shower and I just couldn’t have one random unpainted nail. Mr. MK suggested hot pink nails, so this is what happened.

Yayyyy for neon season. Although KBShimmer recently shared her new summer collection, I am still all about the Mix It Up Neon collection that came out in May. I finally created art with all of the collection, and so I wanted to share that with you, because this collection is obviously still available!

Oh hello! I’m currently on vacation and had posts ready but never actually scheduled them. Also, I have been publishing comments but cannot reply to them. I have no idea why Blogger does this with Apple products, but I’ll be back soon! This is a look I have had on my Pinterest for a while. I love the striking white and blue pattern and have seen a bunch of versions and combined a bunch. Originally I was going to do this as accent nails then said, let’s do the whole thing!

Happy June! June baby here and I m ready for neons. I actually did this manicure last month but had so many other posts that I held off in these. But I absolutely loveeee them. Is it floral? A pomegranate? Dragonfruit? Who knows. Everyone said something different to me. All I know is I saw pretty colors and fun flakes.

Another Polish Pickup to share as they go on sale next week. If you like a nail polish that has all the colors, then you will want to check out this KBShimmer! I have way too many pictures to share with you so grab a snack or a drink and take a seat.

Hello everyone. I cannot believe May is basically over. I always feel the end of months like what?! And I know it is coming when I am ready to post Polish Pickup colors. Stella Chroma is back with a color that I absolutely love so let’s take a look.

So when I sat down to do these nails, I fully intended to do a neon nail art with the new KBShimmer collection. But then I realized I really was not ready for neon nails just yet and I really was in the mood for another floral. I know there has been a lot of florals on my blog lately, but hey if that is what inspires me when I sit down then that is what I am going to do. I try not to force nail art otherwise it just does not come out great.

Hi all! So I finished my coursework last Thursday and well, I restarted this past Monday LOL. I took a total of three days off, but I am on a strict coursework schedule to fulfill certain milestones. In between that time, I have been doing a lot of leisure reading. I had a goal of reading two books a month and have not kept up with that. But then I read two books this week, so yay! I got around to swatching Zoya's May color which I love, so check it out!

Happy spring! This was another nail art on my to-do list of nail art that I meant to do in March and April. But hey! It is still spring! So I am down with florals still! I love the muted colors of this, although I am so torn on whether I liked it more matte or shiny, so you be the judge!

When I posted the newest Stella Chroma In My Swiftie Era collection, I mentioned that I would share later on layering two of the colors. If you missed that post, make sure you head to it to see the gorgeous colors! I wanted to separate the posts because not everyone reads lol and I did not want someone to think this was one polish if I grouped it together with the swatch post, so let's take a look!

Hi all! I am soooo behind on life. I have finally been getting myself back into nail art! This is the Easter nail art that I wanted to do and then realized I could do it any time! So here it is! A month after Easter LOL. It was inspired by a card that I saw at Paper Source. I love mushroom motif (it is still so trendy! I did mushroom nails last year), so I wanted to get this done.

Hi all! I mentioned in the swatch post that I would have a comparison post for the newest KBShimmer neon collection. KBShimmer has released lots of neons over the years, so you might think some look familiar, so I wanted to do a quick comparison post!

Hey now! So I am late with this post. You have probably already seen the newest awesome KBShimmer neon collection. But as I posted a few posts ago, March and April were surprise lost causes as far as my nails and swatching. I am happy to say I am almost caught up on all swatching and have been enjoying nail art. KBShimmer creates some amazing neon collections, and the pastel neons will forever be my most used and most favorite polishes that I reach for all the time. I’m excited to see a collection ready for summer so let's check it out.

More Polish Pickup and this super duper shifting shimmer from KBShimmer is my idea of a fun time. LOL. Yes, that is right! It is because as you just move in your day-to-day life, you will discover new colors. I took way too many photographs so sit down and relax!

Polish Pickup time! As usual, I have no idea what the theme is. I just see pretty polishes! I actually wore this beauty for two days after swatching it because I love it! It is perfect for spring, so let's take a deep look at this!

Zoya's color of the month is a fun way to release new polishes without an entire huge collection! As we finally approach warmer days, what better way to say hello to spring with a bright pink?! So let's take a look at the color of the month!

Hello all. Tonight is Passover and I am looking forward to spending it with my family. I am actually wearing these nails as I type this and post it, so that is not what usually happens! I will be changing them out tomorrow though as I have been cooking away! Anywho, this was a floral design but my friend said it reminded her of a Swedish quilt and now it is all I can think about! So check out my springy quilt look!

Hello everyone and welcome to April. I have April's Polish Pickup which I am assuming is based on video games. This is a perfectly spring color in an awesome finish, so let's get straight to it as this polish is available this Friday!

I do not know where time went (just kidding, it went to a severely broken nail and a two-week sickness) and I cannot believe Easter is this weekend. I have sooo many ideas and at this point, let's see if I post two by Easter. I wanted to share my first cutie look, so let's get to it.

Hello all! Yes I posted the wrong post today, so I moved that one until next week because I have Zoya's March color of the month and due to when they ship and then I was sick, I really only get around to sharing these around the end of the month. The good news is that they have them until they are sold out, so it usually it more than the specific month. If you love green, you will want to check out Lucky!

OK so this look was originally supposed to be for St. Patrick’s Day but I didn’t do it until St. Patrick’s Day. As I mentioned, I broke my nail on March 3 and then as I was letting it grow. I got really sick on March 11. So I only finally just did my nails for real on March 17. Such a mess.
Press Sample
Sorry for my disappearance but I wanted to hop on and give a little update. First, I had a massive break on March 3. I had the next three nail arts lined up but the break was so low, my nails could not be shaped nicely. So I took time to wear some gorgeous polishes on their own! Then, March 11, a slight tickle came and boom, sick AGAIN. I have never been so sick so much in my life. So nails 100% took a back seat and so did my blog. As I write this, I am still very sick and...in finals. Yup, I have so much coursework. So I started my semester sick and am ending the semester sick. I begin my next semester next week, so pleaseeeee wish me better because I am so tired of being sick. Ok, now onto my polishes.

At least for me, spring break is around the corner. That also means I’m halfway through my hardest semester of my degree, phew. I have the KBShimmer spring collection because my time is so limited I swatch this when I could which means no sun or outdoor pictures. The weekend I watched it we had our second snowstorm in one week so the ground is covered. Of course I am doing a spring collection when there’s snow on the ground but it just reminds us that spring is not too far away let’s get to the collection.

I only get to post on this day once every four years, so I threw together a nail art I have been wanting to do for so long. There are so many iterations of this type of abstract nail art on Pinterest that I am not really sure who to cite as the inspiration. You have seen me do abstract blobs and dots before on this blog and now I have added some leaves and squiggles.

Hello everyone. Today is a super random art. I was going through blog posts looking for a particular color and came upon this mauve Morgan Taylor. I immediately knew I wanted to wear it but then Valentine’s Day came up so I sort of put it on the backside for some brighter pinks. Well, now, after multiple snowstorms in one week, I’m here for the darker pink.

Reflectives are here to stay and I do not mind that when they are colors I do not have! As usual, I have no idea what the theme is and that is okay, because I was never one to purchase polishes based off of themes (maybe only back in 2012 with certain indies LOL but not anymore). So this is a gorgeous color, so let's check it out.
Zoya took January off from their color of the month but they are back for February. And a little browsing shows the Amaris (November) and Vienna (December) are still on the web site!

Mardi Gras is tomorrow!!! I am not ready. I am a little disappointed that Mardi Gras coincided Valentine’s Day as I had a few other Mardi Gras nail art ideas, but ran out of time. I love the combination of purple, green, and gold, and what it represents for Mardi Gras. It’s just so fun and I always think back to when I visited New Orleans during this holiday.Press Sample
I am back with another punny look! This is a pun that I have seen everywhere and yet another nail art I have had on my to do list for years. It’s cute, fun, and let’s take a look.

Hello February! Unfortunately, my sickness just will not quit and it is really putting my nails on the back burner. I cannot tell you how many times I messed up today's look because of sneezing or ridiculous coughs that sound like sneezes. I am feeling on the up though, so that is good news! But now I am drowning in my coursework...doctorates are super time consuming LOL. Let's check out my first Valentine's Day nail art!

Hey hey! More Polish Pickup just in time for this Friday! KBShimmer has a wild and fun offering inspired by our favorite 90s neon guru who had all the rainbow neon animals. Let’s check it out.

Hi y’all. I succumbed to whatever sickness is going on around here and it wiped me out for a good 10 days. In fact, as I am writing this, I am still ill. But I had this nail art on for a while and so I wanted to share before we head into February. Of course, my sickness derailed my Valentine’s Day nail art plans so there will probably only be a couple looks which is super disappointing. Maybe I’ll make February the month of love and just do Valentine’s Day looks throughout.

Before I delve into pink and red manicures for Valentine's Day, I wanted to fit in a few more wintry nail arts. As I mentioned, I am going with less intricate art, especially because January has sort of crept up on me and I now have so much to do in very little time. It’s completely my fault, but it just seems that my nails and the blog are taking a back burner to the other priorities in my life. So for me when this happens, I love to throw on a quick nail art and I know you’ve seen this before, but I like redoing it in different color palettes.

So yes, this is a holiday collection but holiday collections typically mean winter collections since the colors are sparkly and fun for the winter season. So I am here to show off this collection which is still available.

Hello and welcome to 2024! As I predicted, I knew I would want to take some time off from the blog. In fact, I did not do my nails from December 30 until January 7. I wanted to see if I did a week of treatments then maybe my nails on my right hand would grow out. Well, they did not. Instead, I broke them all some more. Nothing seems to be working to get my nails to grow out on my dominant hand. Oh well!
