Skittle Fun with Kiko Cupcake Polishes 655 and 656

My mother and I had so much fun shopping at Kiko in Paris so when the first US store opened, I took her with me after I did my own damage. Mama made me buy even more cupcake polishes and actually borrows them from me!

Memorial Day Field of Poppies Nail Art

Partial Press Sample

Happy Memorial Day! While most get excited for a three day weekend (and who wouldn't?) it is important to remember what this day is all about. So much of my family served for this country, and I am proud to have members who have supported the US. Please remember our veterans and all that they do.

A Rhyming Dictionary Calvin and Hobbes Collection: Swatches and Review + GIVEAWAY

Press Sample

Hi All! Today I have a wonderful new collection from the indie brand, A Rhyming Dictionary. Morgan, the creator, loves this cartoon and although I do not know much of it (I've read the comics a long time ago), anyone will love these polishes. Everyone will find that at least one of the shimmers, holos, or glitters of this collection are up their alley. In fact, Morgan is providing Tiger Stretch and a polish of your choice for a giveaway, so make sure to read all the way through! Let's go to the swatches. Grab some snacks and take a seat.

China Glaze OMG Holographic Ruffle Nail Art

Hey all! Sorry I have been quiet this week! Truth is, I have an exciting writing project with its due date quickly coming up, so nail blogging has taken a backseat. I spend hours a day writing, and then I'm too tired to write about nails. Don't worry, my deadline is coming up and I have tons of nail art to show you (including some new indie collections).

I have been wanting to try out ruffle nail art for a while, and it is so easy! I think the trick is to use opaque polishes so one coat is all you need.  I also wanted a way to use holographic polishes in nail art. I love the look of holographic polishes but I can never leave them alone. This was a great way to use them without covering up the gorgeous rainbow flash. Read more below for more details

X by Sephora Light My Fire Skitlette

Every so often I get a Sephora $5 gift card so I decided to try out one of their new polishes. Actually, I bought this in September...shhhhh. Since then, they have added way more colors to the X by Sephora collection.  I liked Light My Fire because it reminded me on A England She Walks with Beauty, but with multi-colored pastel glitter. It screamed spring to me.

Cinco de Mayo Nails: Margarita Nail Art

I decided to do some Cinco de Mayo nails and although they have absolutely nothing to do with the culture, everyone loves a good margarita for the festive holiday. I had wanted to do margarita nails for a while and kept forgetting; now seemed like the right time.

Orange Texture Comparison: Julie G Tangerine Dream and Sinful Colors Orange Crush

You should know by now that I have a major major addiction to texture polish. Remember when I did texture bottle spam HERE? Well, my collection has tripled since then! And I can't get enough. I'm thinking of updating that post with my recent collection--what do you think?
