Happy first day of the semester to me! I got a notification that I am entering my tenth year at my institution! WOW. Sorry that I keep disappearing. This blog is apparently become my dissertation journey event lol. As I was writing my first three chapters, I realized I had actually hit the next milestone in my journey. So I hunkered down and made it official and last Thursday, it was approved. Now I can head towards the next mile stone, which is probably the most crucial one as it will allow me to get approval by the university to do research on human subjects (which sounds really creepy, but I am conducting interviews haha).
I used five of the new cremes for this look:
- Blue: Marisol
- Yellow: Taji
- Pink: Yohanna
- Green: Avani
- Orange: Bodhi
I started with a base of one coat of a white creme so I would not have do multiple coats of the neons, as Avani and Taji would have needed it. Also, what made these surprisingly even is that I first did the outside colors, the blue and then the orange. Then I did the middle color, the pink. This allowed me to see if I should make those three colors thicker. I think for just eyeballing, this came out super even. One coat of top coat and I called it a day!
Because I did that trick with the three colors, I just had to fill in the middle ones (yellow and green). I was so shocked how fast this manicure happened. I think it was only like 30 minutes! It's the complicated ones that are fast and the ones I think will be easy that take forever. Always!
Well I have another neon mani to show you! I have had them done forever and just have not had time to post. Then I broke my nails and did not wear any polish for an entire two weeks! Prepare for shorties!

Great manicure. I love this look. You must have such a steady hand. I'm wearing a neon yellow today because fall is fast approaching and time to pull out the fall shades.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your dissertation about?? One step closer to Dr. Michelle. Very exciting . Thanks for sharing 💜

I was completely obsessed with this look! Doing the outside colors then the middle made it much easier to do! I agree---all the neons because soon I'll be black and orange for 2 months haha.
DeleteMy dissertation will focus on support services for students with language-based learning disabilities at higher education institutions (in a nutshell!).
