Stella Chroma New Nail Care Scents

Press Sample

Well, I stink. I’ve had these scents for a while, and I kept forgetting to do an official post. You know that I am very particular with my scents and that many of them trigger me like no other so when Stella Chroma sent over all of her brand new scents which we were released in May as a temporary selection, I was excited to smell them all and give my honest opinion. Y’all know I don’t sugarcoat on this blog and I will tell you what’s up. I have a Stella Chroma cuticle oil in my purse, in my desk at work, in my side table by my bed. I love her formula. It is oily without being so greasy. It soaks in so nicely! So yea..let's check out the scents!

Stella Chroma added 6 new scents to her lineup. Her website states, "I will be temporarily adding 6 new scents to the lineup. Depending on what does well and gets good feedback, I'll be adding some permanently and possibly retiring a few old scents!" I checked right before I hit publish on this post, and they are all still on the site! Haha!

Ray of Sunshine - This fragrance is brightness in a bottle! It's a fruity mix of rhubarb, mandarin, lemon, peach, rose, and jasmine. Notes of musk, vanilla, tonka, and amberwood add depth.

I love this one. There’s just enough Jasmine and musk to balance out the sweetness of the fruit mix. It’s really sophisticated without being overly floral. I feel like I could put this on and not offend someone who is sensitive to scents as well. Because sometimes I will put oil on at work when I am with students and they will be like whoa, I can smell that! This is my favorite of the new scents.

And here are the other scents!

Coffee Shop - This one smells just like walking into a coffee shop! It's a sweet mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, freshly-brewed coffee, warm pastries, sugar cane, tonka bean, strawberry, and heliotrope.

I am a big fan of coffee and coffee scents. This one is in your face coffee! The cinnamon mellows it a bit, but to me, this is a coffee lover's scent, so if you do not like coffee, this is not for you. This is for me 100%. I will need one of these at work so if I feel sleepy and I do not want anymore coffee, I can apply this. 😆

Greenhouse - This fresh and earthy fragrance has a complexity that will keep you coming back for more. At first you notice the top notes of sweet basil, peppermint leaf, and flower buds. Then notes of thyme, palm leaves, woods, amber, marigold, and violet come through.

I will be honest, I fully expected to hate this one. I just figured it would be too earthy. And it is earthly, but I think the floral aspects balance the basil and peppermint. It is unique. It might not be a scent I would regularly reach for, but I did not hate it like I thought I would. I cannot place the scent but I feel like there is a Bath and Body Works scent like this haha.

Rosehip Jasmine - If you love delicate floral fragrances, pick this one up. The sweet blend of rosehip and jasmine is hard to beat.

This is another one I expected to hate because while I like smelling flowers, I am not huge on floral scents. To me, this had a sort of fruity balance to it that I simply cannot explain. It was not as in-your-face as I expected. It is lovely.

Sweet Cardamom Chai - Chai is the perfect blend of sweetness and spice. It inspired this fragrance, which has notes of lemon zest, ginger, cardamom, black tea, peppercorn, fennel, and cinnamon. Bottom notes of warm milk, amber, and vanilla round it out nicely.

So I was surprised this was not as cinnamon and cardamom forward as I thought it would be. There is a blend of spices but I feel like the peppercorn and fennel are stronger, taking away from the cardamom. If you do not like super sweet, you will enjoy this.

Warm Caramel Bourbon - Rich, barrel aged bourbon, sweet, soft caramel with coarse sea salt. This oil is completely different than most "bakery" types. It is unique and somewhat sophisticated.

So if you have read my blog, you know I am not a caramel scent fan. It is always too sweet and nauseates me haha. I was happily surprised that the bourbon is the main part of the show and I love this one!

There you have it! My review of the newest scents. You can grab these scents in a sugar scrub or a cuticle oil. Cuticle oils retail for $6 and sugar scrubs are $13.

  1. I believe you and I have very similar taste in scents. Being very scent sensitive I appreciate your honest reviews. I have a cart started and will add the coffee scented one and ray of sunshine. Thanks for sharing. 💜

    1. I think we do. I don't love super sweet caramel type scents, but love bakery almond scents. I am not a huge floral/tree scent person either. I really love the two you mentioned.
