I love pastel neon polishes. To me, they are much more wearable than straight neons. They are bright, but light! So when Christy of KBShimmer previewed one of the colors in her Instagram stories a few months ago, I was like GIVE ME. To be honest, I already need a backup of one of these, because I have worn it FIVE times. I'm not even kidding. Ok check out my blog post to find out which one!

Now because these are all neons, I'm looking super tan and that's why I love them. Now let me chat about how I applied these. I've been wearing these for three weeks and here's how I do it. My first coat is a thin coat, just to get a base. Then my second coat was a thicker coat. I found success in this application method. You may choose to do three thin coats--it's whatever your preference is!

Pink or Swim: 2 coats plus top coat. This is one of the more subdued neons of the bunch (along with the blue and purple). It's like a neon bubblegum pink. As I said above (and I won't keep repeating), I had success wearing this in 2 coats! And like all neons, you want top coat for nice shine. I used KBShimmer Clearly on Top for all my photos.

Papaya Don't Preach: 3 coats plus top coat. I did a very thin third coat. Again, it's all about how you want to apply. I LOVE this color. Leggo My Mango is one of my favorite KBShimmers and I have about 1/3 a bottle left, so I'm excited for something close to it! I feel like creamsicle neon oranges like this love my skin. I've been wearing it quite a bit.

Guava Nice Day: 2 coats plus top coat. My absolute favorite! I have worn this 5 times, y'all! I have had it as a pedi 3 times and on my nails on its own twice. Don't forget all the art I've done with it. This is backup worthy for me! It's the perfect faded neon coral. I can't rave enough over it.

Sand By Me: 3 coats plus top coat. This is the one polish that absolutely needs three coats, but that's what I expect with a neon yellow. Again, this one is a faded yellow, and is more wearable on my nails (IMO) than say last year's neon All the Bright Moves. I love both. But I typically ONLY use super bright neons for art, and these I can wear on its own. This color reminds me of lemonade.

Lime All Right: 2 coats plus top coat. Again, I love these colors. I have For Sail By Owner and the other one she's done that I can't think of. Both have large dents in them. This one is a bit more pale than the other colors. It's the limeade to Sand By Me's lemonade! I'm so tan with it hahaha. I love it!

Harbor A Crush: 2 coats plus top coat. I actually should have done three thin coats on this one. If you're looking for less neon, this is for you. It's more like a bright ocean blue, but it definitely works with the collection. It's a soothing water color!

Bored Shorts: 2 coats plus top coat. This is another color I wore on my toes, but then switched back to Guava (which I'm wearing right now LOL). This is an orchid pink polish. Again, it's not AS neon as the others, but works well with the colors. I actually used this (and 3 other colors) in my art HERE and love how this purple works with the collection.

Now on to the flakies. I've seen lots of swatches of these over the pastels and they look awesome! Not sure why I decided to go with black LOL, but that's what you get!

Nauti Girl: 2 coats over Eclipse. This flakie has a fuchsia and copper flake base and as you move your hand and move into different lighting, you will see the green and gold. I love the look of more flakes so I did two coats, but you could do one for less flake! (Is there anyone who likes less flake?). For all these flakes, I show them in OTT lighting and then outside in the shade. I always find these flakes are their best in the shade!

Party Like a Guac Star: 2 coats over Eclipse. Lol at these names! I love guac in the summer. It's like an refreshing. Like an avocado, this had a green and gold flake base and you can easily see the bits of pink popping out. This one then has pops of a lime green and even teal! The pink is a nice pop from the typical green to gold flake polish.

Off Tropic: 2 coats over Eclipse. My absolute favorite of the three flakes. This one is a rainbow explosion. There is no core flakie base color. It's every color. I guess blue and purple dominate, but even below in the first two pictures, you can see the gold, green, pink. If you can't afford the entire collection, I would go with this gorgeous flake. An entire rainbow.
