Yesterday when I shared the Girly Bits June Colors of the Month, I hinted that the two colors screamed something summery to me. Did you figure it out?! Red and green for the summer? Duh...WATERMELON! I knew I wanted to do some whimsical look with these colors. I wonder if Pam of Girly Bits thought of watermelon when she made this duo? It's all I see! Ok, so let's get to the details.

I started with a base of three coats of Hook, Lime, & Sinker. I had already been wearing it from swatching it. Obviously, with this art, you would only need two coats. Then I added Sparkling Lycopene to a makeup sponge and sponged it on the tips.
Lycopene isn't as pigmented when it's sponged on, but it still looks great. Then I dabbed on a white creme as the rind of the watermelon. Lastly, I used it's definitely him, a pigmented black creme, as the "seeds." I topped it all with matte top coat.

I do love this look both matte and shiny. Below, I'm sharing the look with top coat and in the sun. I love how the holo bounces and creates a shiny watermelon! This was a fun look and took very little time!
