Hanukkah Plaid Nail Art

 Press Sample

Hello December! Last year, I did an autumn plaid and a Christmas plaid and I meant to do a Hanukkah plaid but simply ran out of time. Well, Hanukkah is earlier this year as it lands on Thursday night, December 7, so I got a jump start to get my Hanukkah plaid done this year.

Blue is a classic color for Hanukkah and then so are silver and gold. So I opted for a silvery gold for this look. I like the combination of finishes as I have a creme, shimmer, metallic, and a reflective. So this look has a little bit of everything!

Here are the colors that I used:

  • Pinky white: Jessica Cosmetics Hydrangea, three coats
  • Blue shimmer: Stella Chroma Blue Velvet, two coats
  • Blue cream: Zoya Walker
  • Gold metallic: Morgan Taylor Gilded in Gold
  • Gold reflective: KBShimmer Self-Reflection

For the reflective nail, I really should have thinned out the polish because it was super thick. I really should have thinned it before attempting doing art with it and by art, I mean a singular line lol. That’s how hard it was to work with it. I ended up adding a coat of Smooth Moves, and then top coat. The rest of the nails just got one coat of topcoat.

Of course, I had to show this with the flash. I love how Blue Velvet looks with flash too. The reflective is just awesome. I wore this over a week and so many people commented on it. It is such an easy look to do too. Just don't forget that reflectives are a pain to remove. LOL.

I am trying to post a bunch of Hanukkah nail art so hopefully I get it done!
