HHC returns on Friday and Alter Ego has such a pretty offering. I have to say, I really did not pay attention to irises and they are so pretty. Cynthia has been introducing me to all varieties of this flower! I googled this one and it is such a pretty blue--a color I find is not frequent in flowers. So let's take a look!
Absolute Treasure Tall Bearded Iris: 3 thin coats. This is bright yet light blue with blue and gold shimmer. You could do two thick coats but that is not how I paint. For delicate shimmers, I like to let the shimmer build under thin layers. This one is so shiny and fun! It is bright yet not neon. The gold shimmer mellows out the color a bit. I wore this for about 15 minutes and no staining. When blues stain me, they stain in like three minutes haha.
The golden flecks of the shimmer really come out in the direct sunlight. It is such a bright and shimmering color. It also reminds me of the ocean and would be perfect with some themed stamping. Just lovely!
