Candy Cane Nail Art

Press Sample and Gift

Hello everyone. I decided to kickstart holiday nail art early this year in hopes to do lots of it, but lol let's just admit right now, I will be so busy, if I get 4 festive manicures, I'll be happy. I do have a list of 9 arts I was to do, so let's make a goal for 5! My first is based on a candy I received on Black Friday from an elf, so why not?!

Obviously red and green are classic Christmas colors. But we usually see evergreens and reds together. Well I mixed it up and choose a much lighter mint green with the bright red and I love how it came out. This green is so special to me, because Jen of My Nail Polish Obsession and Pam of Stella Chroma made it for me for a birthday gift way back in 2016! You can head to the post to see swatches and read all about it.

I started with a base of the green nail polish and let it dry for a few minutes. Then I simply drew candy cane shapes and filled it in with the white nail polish. I lastly added the red stripes.

  • Green base: 3 thin coats of Paint Box Polish a.k.a. Stella Chroma Peace – ish Green
  • White in candy cane: Stella Chroma High Noon
  • Red: Zoya Hannah
  • Stamping for snowflakes: KBShimmer White Here White Now
  • Snowflake plates: Beauty Big Bang XL – 030 & Born Pretty Christmas – L005

I felt like I needed a little something more on this nail art so I pulled out my trusty stamping plates. I chose a simple snowflake look and stamped three different snowflakes on random parts of my nails. It really completed the look.

Here's just another lighting view because it shows off the shimmer. The shimmer in this shifts from pink to orange and it is so so gorgeous.

While Peace-ish Green was a special one-off polish from 2016, Stella Chroma just released Toe-Up which is a sage green with a stunning shimmer and that is what I am holding in most of the photos. I'll be back with holiday art with that one later on.
