Hello, hello! While it may feel like summer to you, August is the month when school starts, so I'm in about to start school mode. August's Polish Pickup is Marine Magic. So like...fish? I guess! I like marine life and looking at the cool colors of fish. Otherwise...no idea. So let's take a looksy.

Summertime is when the sun is plentiful. It’s the best time for me to get swatches by sunlight. But also when it’s beautiful out, I usually have other plans. Well the other weekend, the weather called for rain and clouds. I made no plans. So my surprise when the sun came out later in the day after I had done my errands so I figured let’s get some swatches. And boy am I glad because these polishes look ultra gorgeous in the sunlight.

Obviously, the Zoya Summer collection was bright cremes in a rainbow palette. Something about the shades made me think of pop art. So that's what I did. I also thought of doing tie dye art, but I wanted more contrast, just like these fun colors.  But then, we were going through a heat wave and I did not have the oomph to do sophisticated nail art or super duper line work, so I went with the easiest art I could think of.

Hi all! So this collection isn't really a normal Zoya collection. I noticed they've been very into palettes. I almost did not request this one because it's "curated" meaning that it is old colors put together as a new "collection." I have 3/6 but honestly was so intrigued with a full-coverage yellow, I decided to request it! Let's see if it holds up!

 

Duri Below Zero, Swatches and Review

Well, it took over a year, but I finally finished swatching the three Duri collections a friend sent me as a gift. It took so long because there was no obligation since these were not sent from the company (but hey, they are more than welcome to send me!). So I found myself swatching PR and then doing art for myself. But, better late than never. Nail polish is never one season, so I'm sharing a winter collection in the summer!

 Hey all! A million years ago (or two months), I posted the Garden Path Lacquer Summer Neons! This collection was citrus-inspired so I knew I wanted to do some citrus art. I won't lie, I hated this nail art and took it off an hour later. But I always was to share my nail art successes and fails. I don't know why, but I just hated it on. Now that I look at photos, not bad! LOL.

Fourth of July Nail Art: Popsicles, Fireworks, and More!

I usually do not get too creative with Fourth of July art. Usually, I throw on some red, white, and blue nail polish, maybe a gradient, dots, and call it a day. I saw an adorable sweater on the LOFT website and actually bought it, and well, I just had to recreate it in my own way. Summer is all about popsicles and they are perfect on my nails.
