Obviously, the Zoya Summer collection was bright cremes in a rainbow palette. Something about the shades made me think of pop art. So that's what I did. I also thought of doing tie dye art, but I wanted more contrast, just like these fun colors. But then, we were going through a heat wave and I did not have the oomph to do sophisticated nail art or super duper line work, so I went with the easiest art I could think of.
So when I sat down, I was going to do waves of each color outlined in black. Then I was like ughhh, that sounds like it will take me forever. Then I was like hmmm, what about a simple dry brush over white? WAIT, let's amp this up. What about a dry brush over a sheer glitter? YUP.
Like I said, originally I was going to do this over a white cream. But lately I’m so into the sheer glitters and nail art over that like I did with my Fourth of July Popsicles. I swear Zoya Eclipse sat in a box since it came out in summer 2020 and I just never got around to giving it away. I am glad I did not because now I just keep using it and I love it so much. It’s so versatile.
After two coats of Eclipse, I used the entire Zoya Summer Palette for the dry brush nail art. I swiped off as much polish as possible and just swiped the brush on my nail in different directions. I used all 6 colors of the summer collection. Love it!
Here are some close-ups because I love it! You can see the dry brush is just little what it is, brushes of the color. No rhyme or reason! And I love the peeks of the glitter coming through. I'm glad I switched to it last minute rather than the white creme I originally was doing.
Ok, just saying, I am obsessed with this! I love how it came out!!
Each polish retails for $12.

I love this manicure. Makes me think of stain glass. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt does give stained glass vibes! I think that's because of the glitter. I love sharing dry brush art because it is fool proof!
