Last month, Stella Chroma released a brand new fall cream collection. Of course, I had my horrible nail break so I put it aside until I could get some growth. It disappointed me because I was so excited to play with these cremes and now that I have swatched them, I can’t wait to do art with them. So if you have not already grabbed them, take a look at my swatches and ask yourself what have I’ve been waiting for?
The Fall Puns collection consists of four creams and each color only needed two coats for full coverage. They were so shiny I did not use topcoat for swatches. I also want to note that none of them stay in despite their pigmentation. Also, I love any excuse for a fall photoshoot LOL.
Bye Fall-icia: 2 coats. “The warm orange you need to complete your fall wardrobe.” I love orange nail polish and the color orange because it is my dad‘s absolute favorite color. This one went on so smoothly and it will just be an orange I go to for the next few months. But I wear orange year-round.
Leaf It To Me: 2 coats. "A rich, kelly green cream. That bright green that waves good bye before the burning reds, yellows, and oranges take over." I was a little nervous that this would stain but it absolutely did not. I cannot wait to put a flake topcoat over this or some glitter because it is just so gorgeous. There is just enough yellow undertones to make this a year round green.
Never Fall-ter: 2 coats. "A dead on dupe of the brick red/raisin shade that lived on my nails during my early high school years. The 90’s are making a comeback and this shade is a nod to that." This is my kind of red since I don’t love wearing bright red nails. Again this went on so smoothly and I really love the brick tone of this. I feel like it’s totally wearable for everyone.
Raking It In: 2 coats. "A cool teal that is the perfect compliment to the warm tones of fall." This is a fun pop of brightness for a fall collection but I feel like it really works and balances with the deep muted colors. It actually goes perfectly with a nail art that I plan to do as I already tested it out. It’s just that brightness of crisp sky. Again no staining with this one.
