I shared with you my blue gingham nail art last week and mentioned how much I loved the look and I wanted to do it in a pink/red version. Well, not only do I do it, but I decided to wait 9 days to take photos on the manicure 😛 so not only do you get to see art, but you get to see a wear test! And with Labor Day coming up, I thought, how cute to share these picnic nails?!
So just like my blue version, instead of doing a stark white base, I did a very pale version of pink. I think it adds dimension and I just love how it looks.
Colors used:
- Base: Jessica Cosmetics Cheeky (beige-y pink)
- Pink: Jessica Phenom Laffy Taffy
- Red: Jessica Phenom Red Hots
I did the same process as my blue look. I did a pale pink base. Did stripes with the medium pink. Then I used a striper brush to create squares to my gingham look.
Here is the look shiny, which is how I mostly wore it because I kept forgetting to matte it.

First, I ended up wearing this shiny, and kept meaning to matte it. Since it was my last week of summer, I just put it on my nails and forgot. So here's my mani NINE days later. I did have some chips, but wow, the Phenom formula is so great! I actually then fixed my mani LOL and re-took the pictures that you see above. I totally could have worn it for 11 days, as the Phenom formula promises. But alas, I had to swatch. I had the most tip wear on my index. And you can see it needed a new coat of top coat to bring back some shine.

All three of these colors are available now on the Jessica site. I actually am rocking Red Hots on my toes right now for a final summer pedicure. I love how these colors work together!

Wow! Polish wears so well on you. I would have nothing left and an eight of an inch of grow out in 9 days, lol
ReplyDeleteI don’t know why it does! I could probably go two weeks and have minimal chips! I find myself wearing one mani a week lately!
