Hello all! If you weren't aware, Indie Expo Canada is coming up! This is in Toronto, Canada August 17 and 18. I went last year and it was so fun! I had all intentions of going again this year, but the dates just don't work out for me as it's right before I start my semester and I drive to the location. Oh well. Hopefully next year is earlier in the summer!

Anywho, Alter Ego will be there and she will be debuting her newest collection there! Proud to Be Me features four autumn colors, all celebrating individuality.

All photos are taking in OTT light but the fourth and final photo shows each color in direct sunlight.

Being Myself: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a brown-ish mustardy color. It's similar in base color to the final color in this post. I thought this would hate my skin tone, but it doesn't! It has a pretty copper microflake shimmer. It almost gives it a dusty effect! As you can see, this is such an autumn color, and I really get autumn from this collection.

Marching to My Own Beat: 3 coats plus top coat. This is a creamsicle shimmer with  metallic blue shard flakes. Some of the flakes appear to be poking up, but they were flat. The base is such a pretty orange. Adding the blue flakes is definitely marching to its own beat. It's a funky color! I had a tiny bit of VNL at two coats, so I did a third for good measure. This will depend on your nail length.

Uncommonly Me: 2 coats plus top coat. This one is my favorite of the collection! It's a burnt orange with super fine gold glitter/shimmer. It's so pretty! This is definitely the most perfect fall color. Formula is really nice and the polish has nice coverage. It dries a little flat, so top coat brings out the shine. I just want pumpkins when I see this!

Happy I'm Not Like the Others: 3 coats plus top coat. This is another pumpkin orange color and the green glitters really give me autumn vibes. I can't wait to stamp leaves and pumpkins over this. It's almost like a mustard orange. I thought it would hate my skin, but it doesn't! This one is super squishy, so I did thin coats. You could do two thicker coats. Everything laid flat and smooth. The glitters are very fine.
