Zoya Gelie-Cure Foundation Travel Kit

 Press Sample

Despite receiving this Zoya Gelie Cure kits months ago, I kept delaying using it because I wanted to see other reviews. Well, as of August 27, when I’m trying this out, I still cannot find any legitimate reviews. I see people post on Instagram that they like it but that doesn’t really help me. I also cannot find any blogs using this new system only the one from 2019. So I finally decided to sit down and try out this jelly care kit.

I have never used gel before, but I was so frustrated with my peels and my breaks that I thought I should give it a try. Here are the instructions that came with the kit!

Here is everything that came with the kit:

"The Naked Manicure Gelie-Cure Retail Kit includes: Rescue Serum (.25oz), Repair Base (.25oz), Naked Gelie (.25oz), Clear Shine (1oz), Remove (1oz), a 3-way nail file, cuticle pusher, lint-free wipes, soak-off nail foils, cotton balls, and a travel LED light (USB Powered). Everything you need for the perfect, damage-free, gel-like manicure all in one kit."

I will mention the nail clips kinda suck. I used them for glitter removal. Wrapping tin foil is easier.

Here were my nails after a vertical split on my ring nail. If you look closely, you can see. I trimmed all my nails after that break. They are just a mess.

My right hand is a mess. My middle index has had that peel for years. I had broken my pinky way down. It’s just all bad.

Despite it being a UV light, I guess my brain did not think it would actually be warm, and the initial of putting my nails under the UV was that it was actually pretty hot. So warm that I immediately turned it off thinking my nails were on fire. Google tells me that I put on too thick of a coat of the gel.

Look at how pretty this looks on the nail. Like I could almost just wear my nails like this!

August 29th: I have to tell you that I was so excited to use this gel and maybe get some strength back to my nails that are weak. Well, two days later on August 29 two of the nails completely peeled off with the gel included. I’m not sure if that is because of user error but it was really disappointing because I really loved my nail art. I redid those two nails with regular base coat.

August 30th: Three more nails completely peeled off. so 5/10. Not great. Then I was like, will this all come off. And yes, they all peeled off.

I thought I would test this again before posting, but I just haven't wanted to add it to my routine. I'm so disappointed because I wanted this to work, especially because I had a big swatch session coming up. I was hopeful it would protect my nails, and that way I wouldn’t have remover directly on the nail bed. But I swatched without it. I do think I will try it one more time before I swatch the Zoya fall collection.

Please let me know your experience with this system or any gel. What did I do wrong?!

Any ideas on why the entire nail polish peeled off?!

  1. Oh my naked nails🤣 Your nail beds are so long. I figured I would pass on this system . I'm kind of glad I did. However your nails looked incredible with the gel. I don't usually wear polish for more than a couple days because I only wear it on days off so having gel polish makes no sense . Thanks for sharing 💜

    1. Yes, there they are, au natural! I really wanted to love this kit. I have no idea what I did wrong. I wanted to strengthen my nails and the point was I could wear the clear and change my nails. Bummer!
