KBShimmer Lightning Strikes, March 2023 Polish Pickup

Polish Pickup has a theme of Rainy Days for March. Sure, why not? I feel like April would have made more sense! Well, I do love the KBShimmer contribution, so I can't be made. I love sparkly neutrals and this one is amazing!

 

 

KBShimmer Jasmine & Patchouli Hand & Body Scrub - $10 – No Cap

Jasmine & Patchouli Hand & Body Scrub echoes rainy days, the warm earth, and fresh flowers.  This earthy scent starts with notes of soft musk and patchouli.  Sweet vanilla sugar and blooming jasmine help round out this heady scent. Featuring a creamy base accented with yellow and lime swirls, this scrub can be used daily to help keep your skin soft and fragrant. 

I am not normally a patchouli gal, but I do enjoy musk, and it mellows out the intensity that patchouli can have for me.

 

 

KBShimmer Lightning Strikes Nail Polish - $12.00 – No Cap

Lightning Strikes is a nod to those storms.  Soft glowing holographic flakes form a soft gray base echoing falling rain.  Borrowing hues from that electrical show, a shifting shimmer comes alive in indirect lighting with strong flashes of violet quickly changing into blue and aqua.  In bolder lighting, the silvery holo flakes dance within the purple shimmer. 

Lightning Strikes: 3 coats. This polish dries a little matte. I still had VNL with three coats but it’s so pretty, I don’t mind. Next time I will use a ridge filling base coat so it blurs my nail line. I love this polish. I am always a fan of sparkly neutrals and the shimmer in it is so striking that it is almost mesmerizing. Just like a lightning storm!

The next photos are in sunlight and shade. Although you can clearly see the shifts inside, I love to see how polishes like this look outside. It’s such a pretty color. The purple is a gorgeous surprise. I also love how strong the shimmer is in any lighting. It's just so pretty no matter how you put it. That's why I shared 2800 photos of this polish. It was so hard to narrow down.
