Stella Chroma Basics: Classic Red and Hey, Sailor

Press Sample

Hello all and cheers to a new week! This Thursday is Fourth of July is America, which celebrates the country's independence. I figured what better way to kick off this week than with the new Stella Chroma Basics additions, which are a red and a blue! The Basics collection is just as it sounds--classic and basic cremes that any polish lover needs in their collection. I posted the first two HERE, so let's check them out on my new shortie nails!

Stella Chroma Basics: Classic Red and Hey, Sailor

Classic Red: 2 coats. This is a true red creme with blue undertones so it's really THE classic red, as the name suggests. Red gives me VNL every time, but I was surprised and elated with the coverage with this one! I stopped at two coats because I was happy with the result. I wore this color for a while, so just be cautious with removal, as I had some staining on my cuticle. All I needed was an extra swipe of acetone.

Hey, Sailor: 3 thin coats. This is the squishiest and shiniest navy blue ever! I followed Pam's suggestion of three thin coats and loved the result. I had no staining, but only wore this for about 15 minutes. It is definitely a deep navy creme!
