4th of July Gradient with Star Stamping

Press Sample

As I mentioned yesterday, the Fourth of July is this Thursday and what a more perfect way to do some nail art than with the new Stella Chroma Basics Collection. The newest releases are a red and blue, and I knew I needed to do some festive art! I love how art looks on more shorter nails! And this look came together SO quickly!

I started with a base of Stella Chroma Classic Red. This I added some liquid latex on my nails for easy clean up.

On a makeup sponge, I added a stripe of Hey, Sailor and Classic Red. I dabbed the makeup sponge on my nails. Because of the consistency of these cremes, they blended so well. If they were too thick or pigmented, it would have been messy. Because they are thinner, they went on fast and dried super fast! That way I was able to stamp!

I used Beauty Big Bang BBB XL-033 plate and their white stamping polish to stamp on stars. What's funny is that I am reaching for Christmas/New Year's Eve plates since they have tons of star and fireworks images! I LOOOVE how this one came out!

Then I topped it all off with Born Pretty No Smudge Top Coat, and holy wow, no smudges. I am in love with this top coat. I chose to keep this look shiny this time. LOVE it!

Well I already took this art off, LOL, so I'll have to come up with another look for Thursday. I'm thinking sparkles! Or maybe a variation of this look!? What do you think?
