I knew I had to fit in one more nail art for one of my favorite holidays. Seriously, have you been watching the parades? They are just so fabulous! Sigh, I have serious envy for those who live there and are immersed in that culture year round. Believe it or not, there are no NOLA or festive Cajun restaurants, so I’ll be making a vegan jambalaya tonight! And I’m wearing my beads, of course.
First, I wanted to share what I go through LOL. I took out so many purples and green and golds to get to my final color. And I had already cleaned some up when I snapped this pic! I even had to rip off some that I realized were embargo'ed!
I wanted to keep with the gold, purple, and green color motif and include masks, beads, and of course, glitter! My middle nail has a typical masquerade mask, my ring and thumb has strings of beads, and my outer nails are all glitter in the famous Mardi Gras colors!
My gradient nails are allll glitter and sparkle. Here are the colors of the gradient nails:
- Green: China Glaze Running in Circles
- Purple: Girly Bits No More Tears
- Gold: Stella Chroma May the Schwartz Be With You
- Mardi Gras Glitter: Poetry Cowgirl Faith Justice Power
Then I did the mask over the purple glitter from the gradient. Here are those colors:
- Green: Zoya Josie
- Purple: Zoya Tina
- Yellow: Girly Bits Saffron Saffrof
- Purple base" Girly Bits No More Tears, 3 coats
Lastly, the bead nails:
- Neutral base: KBShimmer Saved By The Shell, 2 coats
- Bead colors: same as gradient nails
I had to have a photo shoot with my beads! Because they are just fabulous. Hopefully, next year I can be at Mardi Gras!!
