May Polish Pickup Offerings: Guilty Pleasures

 Press Sample

We have guilty pleasures for May! I don't have too many, because I should not feel guilty by things I enjoy. 90 Day Fiance quality television? No. Do I like it? Heck yes (side note: I have been watching this show way too long and way before it blew up in popularity LOL). Anyway, today, this is what we are looking at as inspiration for Polish Pickup!

Get Yer Red Hot Dogs Here: 2 coats.
Cost & Cap: $10, cap of 100.
Inspiration & Color Description: Glossy red. The inspiration is hot dogs, which I guess can be a guilty pleasure for some!
Thoughts: This is succcccchhh a gorgeous red. I am not a red polish gal and I put this on and just went wow. It's a glowy and rich shimmery red. Look at how it shines without top coat. I can't wait to put this on my toes. Just stunning.

Freshly Blended Sugar Scrub
Cost and Cap: $10, no cap.
Scent: Strawberry daiquiris, piña coladas, or local fruits and melons make any day by the water feel like a tropical getaway. Freshly Blended is a sweet and tropical medley of fresh berries, cantaloupe, and lychee. Sweet sugarcane and vanilla orchid round out this paradise-perfect scent.  A soft, cream color is accented by swirling orange, and a hint of glimmering biodegradable glitter tops off the scrub for a sparkling, tropical treat that will have you wishing you had a freshly blended drink in your hand, too!
Thoughts: I am going to petition that this scent becomes a cuticle balm. It is definitely freshly blended vibes without being overly grossly sweet. I think the orchid provides balance. This definitely made me want a fruity cocktail ASAP...or at least a fresh fruit smoothie!

Everything Is A-Bouquet: 3 coats plus top coat. 2 looked okay but 3 gave it depth.
Cost & Cap: $11, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Everything Is A-Bouquet is a deep, grape-purple jelly nail polish. A strong green to blue shimmer accents the purple hue, showing off a vibrant indigo blue in lower lighting. In brighter lighting, the green glimmers and shifts at angles into gold and royal blue, giving you a unique multichrome manicure that is sure to last longer than fresh-cut flowers!
Thoughts: As the description states, this is a vibrant indigo and as I moved around, more colors in the purple, blue, and green family appeared. The green shimmer is what really makes this special for me. I am jaded by multichromes, but anything to make it more special is a plus in my book.

Lollipop Posse Lacquer

SHOP, Facebook, Instagram

$7.99 is Absolutely Fine: 3 coats.
Cost & Cap: $13, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Inspired by my favorite, inexpensive grocery store wine, a delicious and crisp Sauvignon Blanc. Definitely cheap enough to be a frequent guilty pleasure! $7.99 is Absolutely Fine! is a sheer but buildable gray crelly base, slightly tinted green and filled with a vibrant green/blue/indigo shifting Aurora shimmer. This will be the very last new PPU shade released by Lollipop Posse Lacquer.
Thoughts: I don't have liquor in my grocery stores--it's a law. Whomp! But the thought of cheap wine next to produce is awesome ahahaha. The inspo bottle perfectly matches this color. It's sheer-ish sort of like wine, with that gorgeous shifting shimmer. So soft and pretty. It will be the base of gorgeous sping art!

Stella Chroma

Pomegranate Champagne Emulsified Sugar Scrub
Cost & Cap: $6.50 for 2.5 oz jar, no cap
Scent: Tying in with our Belinda Blinks guilty pleasures theme, we are offering our scrub in champagne pomegranate scent. It is sweet and fruity with a bit of a tart champagne scent as well. Light and refreshing and not overly sweet. As far as pomegranates go, if you know, you know. Am I right, Belinkers?
Thoughts: Champagne is a weird scent, because it doesn't really smell like much beyond effervescence. Well it definitely adds to the tartness of the pomegranate. This is such a good scent. I plan on ordering it in a cuticle oil mmmm. It smells like pomegranate seeds dropped in champagne!

Belinda Blinked: 2 coats.
Cost & Cap: $13 for 15mL, no cap.
Inspiration & Color Description: Mr SC and I fall asleep listening to podcasts every night. Sometimes we pick random ones to try. And when you find one called My Dad Wrote A Porno, you have to listen, right? Well, it's hilarious. We can't fall asleep to this one because we laugh too hard. The podcast is a British guy whose dad self-published a porn novel reading said novel (Belinda Blinked) to his friends. I highly recommend it. This deep red holo was inspired by the cover for the podcast and is named after the novel. Which is now a series of 5 books. Opaque in 2 coats, this red will certainly draw attention to your nails.
Thoughts: This is more of a burgundy berry holo on me vs deep red, but either way, it is gorgeous. Formula is buttery and goes on easily in two coats. I bet you could get away with a careful one coat. I wore this for a while and no stains!

These polishes and both & body products will be available May 7-10 in the Polish Pickup shop. Shipping is flat rate $3 in the US and $5 to Canada.
