Love At Frost Sight Collection

"It starts slowly, but before we know it, tepid air becomes chilly. Swirling flakes litter the frosted ground, and sweaters and jackets are unpacked to fight off the cold.  As the outdoors freeze, we turn our attention to making our homes warm and inviting for the winter.  Flannel pajamas, hot cocoa and fuzzy blankets keep us cozy while binge-watching a favorite show.  Sparkling holiday décor amplifies the precious time spent with family and friends, while scents from homemade foods usher in memories of holidays past.  Inspired by being home for the holiday season, KBShimmer’s new 10-piece collection celebrates those special moments that will make this winter one to remember."

Please head to the KBShimmer sight for full color inspirations!

Shamash Hit: 3 coats plus top coat. First, I want to mention how much I appreciate that Christy of KBShimmer reached out to me to see if I was interested in collaborating on a Chanukah color. I told her I was so tired of blue and silver colors or glitter top coats called "Eight Crazy Nights." I sent her potential inspos and stories of my childhood and she chose the inspiration below:

At a time when many feel a miracle is needed, the story of Hanukkah can give one hope that everything will be all right.  A long time ago, The Temple of Jerusalem was being rededicated after being destroyed by a King trying to eliminate the Jewish religion.  Part of that ceremony involved lighting the eternal light.  There was a problem though: all but one day’s worth of oil was destroyed, and it would take days to acquire more.  Miraculously though, oil for one day managed to burn for eight!  That miracle and dedication is now celebrated as Hanukkah: for eight days, using the Shamash, a candle is lit on the menorah to celebrate that jar of oil burning bright. Shamash Hit is inspired by those flickering lit candles and long-ago burning oil.  A pale golden base quickly shows off hues of peach, orange, and copper as this shimmering multichrome shade flickers through flame-like hues.  Linear holographic sparkle adds a pop of rainbow that shines in bright light.

So I love this polish and I hope you do too!

Baking Spirits Bright: 2 coats. I seriously love this name. "Baking Spirits Bright is a frosting-white crelly nail polish loaded with nonpareil-like glitters in red and green.I literally think of Christmas funfetti cake when I put this one. I can also imagine adorable gingerbread people art on this!

Sip Back & Relax: 2 coats. This one had slight staining because it was so pigmented and almost a one coats. "Sip Back & Relax is a deep red, wine-colored linear holographic polish.  This merlot-inspired shade shows off its sparkle best in bright light, while indirect or indoor lighting will let the rich cranberry hue shine." This is moody and festive and super holo.

How’s It Growing?: 2 coats. "How’s It Growing? is a nod to plant lovers filling social media feeds with propagating tips and sprouting avocado seeds.  An emerald green jelly base is accented by holographic micro flakes that sparkle in bright light.  In lower lighting, color-shifting flakes show off hues of orange, gold, lime and Kelly green."I love this green! I am a big green polish fan and this definitely reminds me of a pine tree with some twinkling lights.

Celebrate Good Shine: 3 coats. This is super duper blingy! "A mix of micro and small glitters in a copper and gold holographic finish combine for a nail polish with mega sparkle!" You could certainly wear this as a topper or as a gradient but I wanted full on bling! I love the sparkle and the shade of this. Imagine some black stamping over it? Yes!

Knit Happens: 2 coats. "Knit Happens is a bold red polish with a jelly finish.  Color-shifting flakes show off hues of crimson, orange and gold, and in low lighting you might catch a glimpse of lime and green.  In bright lighting, micro holographic flakes sparkle and shine." This is a festive holiday red! It is basically a red version of How's It Growing? The red covers so well! I usually have VNL with red but not this one.

Stream On, Stream Away: 2 coats. "Stream On, Stream Away is inspired by those binge-watch-enabling services.  A deepened navy blue creme, this cool-toned hue covers perfectly in two coats.  Stream On, Stream Away is the perfect base for any of our glitter, magnetic, or flakie toppers." This is a great creamy blue! Perfect for glitters and toppers. Because it is pigmented, it does stain a little.

Sol Amazing: 1 coat over Stream On, Stream Away. "Sol Amazing is a celebration of rainbows. Thin flakes in a clear base easily shift to show off shades of red, orange, gold, green, and, at extreme angles, aqua.  These incredible flakes are best worn over darker colors but will add a pop to any manicure.  Love the flakes in Sol Blue or in our Endless Summer collection?  These are it!" Two coats of this would be crazy shift. I can see myself using this all the time. This is just excellent. Everyone will want this. I'm proclaiming this.

Bearly Awake: 2 coats. "Bearly Awake is a blackened cerise thermal polish.  When cold, a black cherry color sets off color-shifting flakes in shades of pink, orange and indigo.  When warm, a bold, pink-leaning ruby hue glitters like jewels, with the flakes giving it a jelly-like appearance." This is so vibrant and pretty! Like all KBShimmer thermals, I always have an easy transition. It's unseasonably warm so it stayed mostly pink for this. Love the iridescent flakes.

Love At Frost Sight: 1 coat over Chai-huahua (red) and Thyme on My Hands (green). "Love At Frost Sight is a sparkling silver magnetic polish.  Layer over your favorite shade and use the magnet for a mesmerizing silver effect.  You can use this magnetic polish over lighter shades too, for a unique, shadowy look that allows the silver effect to really pop.  You can also wear this polish in 2-3 coats without use of a magnet to enjoy a glimmering metallic manicure." This is such a fun polish! I want to put it over everything but chose holiday-colored cremes from KBShimmer.

So which ones are definitely on your list? My favorites in Shamash Hit (of course!), Baking Spirits Bright, Sol Amazing, Knit Happens, and How's It Growing? Lol that is like all of them!
