Winter is coming, for real! We had some days where it randomly dropped to 20 degrees and then 52 degrees. It's wreaking havoc on my nails despite constant moisturizing. That's why I have my shorties. Luckily, I received most of my PPU items before the break, so I was able to get these done. This month's theme is Winter is Coming and I love that makers got super creative! Polish Pickup will be different for December, and will be available
December 2-6 to hopefully get your orders before the holidays!

Inspiration & Color Description: Snow plows. "A charcoal holo with 3 different particle sizes."
Thoughts: The colors of this reminds me of snow that gets dirty. Snow is pretty for like an hour and then the plows come through and it becomes this gross grey and muddy color. Well think of that grey but stunningly gorgeous because it's a holo! I do love the finish of this. It's now a flat linear holo but has lots of dimension!

Some People Shine: 3 coats plus top coat.

Inspiration & Color Description:
The Shining. "Blackened olive green with iridescent and holo glitter and microshards."
Thoughts: I really love the creativity behind this.
The Shining is a classic winter movie! The blizzard makes everything so creepy. This color fits the inspiration so well. Not only does it look like the grass maze but it reminds me of all the beautiful pine trees that surround the Overlook Hotel. Sidenote, I went to the hotel that inspired the novel, The Stanley Hotel. The glitters reminds me of the glittering snow that covers the hotel.

Inspiration & Color Description: The animated movie
Ice Age.
"I Came, I Thaw, I Conquered is a pastel muti-chrome with a soft and feminine lilac purple base with strong shifts that travel from blue and light turquoise, to purple, pink, and violet. It’s finished off with a subtle hint of holographic glow pigment."
Thoughts: Again, sorry for the inconsistency in my nail length, but I am a real person with real nails lol. This color makes my eyes pop, in a good way! I love how icy (perfect for the inspo) this is and yet it is almost a pastel. It's so bright and shimmery and shifty! Very pretty. I can't wait to put this back on.

Name: Cocoa and Cookies Sugar Scrub

Cocoa & Cookies sugar scrub is inspired by the cold weather treats of the same name. This scrub starts out with notes of warm steamed milk and rich chocolate. Thoughts: The scent of this is totally a sweet hot cocoa. It's not a scent I go for but I like it now because it's so fitting for the season. I love steamed milk scent (one of my current favorite candles is Vanilla Steamed milk). But then you really smell the cookies. I think I smell chocolate chip cookies basically. As usual, I love the moisturizing formula of this.

Un-brrr-lieveable: 3 thin coats plus top coat. 2 coats would have been enough.

Inspiration & Color Description: "Growing up in Minnesota, we joked about having four seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter and road construction...Un-brrr-lieveable is a cool-toned polish that starts out as a rich purple hue. When your hands are warm, the purple quickly shifts to a bold icy blue reminiscent of those majestic ice castles. Iridescent flakes in tones of pink, purple, aqua, green and gold light up this wintery nail polish shade, while micro holo glitters add a hint of sparkle and shine."
Thoughts: You know I'm all about the iridescent flakes! That's why I like to do an extra coat. I do a thin third coat and let the flakies shine! The base is definitely wintry. The blue reminds me of icicles. The blue to purple shift also makes me want to stamp white snowflakes over this. The shift was super easy to achieve in the swatch and I always have great experiences wearing KBShimmer thermals!

gray-blue base packed to the brim with holographic microflakes, Aurora
shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift between orange, red, gold, and
green."
Thoughts: This might have shot up as one of my favorite Lollipop's. I adore this color in general. I love grey polish!!! Then add all those shifting flakes and shimmers and I am super happy. The aurora shimmer is reallly strong in this one. You can easily see the red to copper to green shift in every type of lighting. This is just stunning.

Scent: "We did stick with more traditional interpretation of the theme with this
one, and will be bringing back our Game of Thrones inspired scent, I
Drink And I Know Things. A deep red wine scent with a woody finish, this
scent will make you feel like you’re hanging around with a room full of
Lannisters."
Thoughts: Yessss this scent is back! It was originally released for PPU in November 2017 so it's been two years since we've seen this scent. I love the sweet wine combined with wood. It's an excellent balance and a scent I truly love. Love the formula on this. It's a soft scrub that really gets off the dead skin and moisturizes.

Inspiration & Color Description: "Mr SC was in charge this month, and per his usual, we went outside the
box. We chose Foreigner’s Cold As Ice album cover art for our Winter Is
Coming theme! It’s got an antique gold/green/blue multichrome shift with
holo flakies and red/gold/fuchsia UCC flakies."
Thoughts: I'm totally digging this and truly LOL'ed at the inspiration. I especially like the holo flecks and shifting flakes. It's like a shift within a shift within shift. The formula is so nice and smooth too. You can see lots of shifts of colors as you move your hands! It's just a unique and fun color that you need.
