Hanukkah Dreidel Nail Art with Morgan Taylor

Press Sample

Hi all! Happy Chanukah (or Hanukkah, which is the Americanized way of spelling). If you didn't know, it began Sunday night and I was rocking these nails. I actually did them and then not even an hour later was making latkes. Can you believe I didn't ruin them!? I was super excited that Morgan Taylor's new Forever Fabulous collection had some blues and silvers. There's always reds and greens for Christmas, but yay for other colors!

Gradient Nails: I did one coat of a white creme. Then I did a gradient of Wrapped in Satin, Blue-Eyed Beauty, and Catch My Drift. Catch My Drift is actually a jelly and I forgot, but it gave a nice subtle darker tip. Then I put one coat of Alter Ego Moon Mother, which is part of her new topper collection which I will show next week!

Dreidel Nails: I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Beauty. It's the perfect medium toned periwinkle baby blue. I used the same colors from my gradient to do the panels of the driedel. Then I used Diamonds are my BFF for some silver sparkle. I outlined everything in a black creme.

I focused on dreidels because it's one of the iconic images for Chanukah. We don't have Santa, elves, and all that jazz. I've done latkes nails but it was a fail. I wrote in the Hebrew letters that appear on a dreidel Nun, Gimel, Hay, Shin. They stand for Nes Gadol Haya Sham: A Great Miracle Happened There (in Israel!). I think these came out clear!

I really love how these came out and I'm stick rocking them! I am hoping to fit in one more Chanukah look! It really crept up and I so was not prepared! Big thanks to Morgan Taylor for providing some awesome blues this holiday season!

  4. Perfect. I am wearing blue in honor of the holiday but I don't have your fabulous nail art. My grandchildren are in their glory with Chanukah.
