MoYou Nails Fashion, Trendy 4 Plate Review

Press Sample

Happy Friday! I hope you have fun plans for the weekend! I'm hoping this is my last weekend in this boot for my broken bones in my foot! Everything in NYC involves walking and with the heat plus a boot, blah! But I'll be tuning into the World Cup final! I have a few products from MoYou Nail Fashion, which is a stamping company, so let's go to it!

So I received a clear stamper, a scraper, and the Trendy 4 plate.

There's 9 full nail images and 16 mini images. The website says that there is over 30 images on the plate, but I only see 25. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Okay, so let's chat. When I received this plate, I knew immediately my nails would never be covered. Because I had a break, my nails are currently way shorter than I normally have them. But my nails still were not fully covered.

My pinky was almost fully covered because I was able to stamp a little excess onto it. As you can see, my nails are just too long for this stamper.

Two other points to bring up:

1. You have to scrap multiple times. I found the initial scrap wasn't enough and you really have to scrap a few times to get off the excess or you will see smears like on my middle nail.

2.  The stamper is a clear jelly, but it's a little too firm on the outer edges. Because of that, I struggled for the stamp to conform to my curved nails. Basically, it ended up looking like a square stamp on each of my nails.

I then decided to try doing decals with the smaller images on the left side of the plate. I found much more success using the plate with these smaller images.

If you've never done a decal, stamp the image as normal. Then fill in the image with whatever color you choose! This is how it will look as you look at it.

Because it is a clear stamper, you can look through the barrel and see how you colored it in.

Then I add a sticky base coat to my nails, let it dry a minute, and stamp on the image! I decided to matte this entire mani because why not?

I wish the plate would have bigger full nail images. I know there's a market for smaller nails, but my nail beds mean this will never work for me, beyond the mini single images. I wish the stamper was a little more squishy to conform to my nails.

The plates retail for £5.99 and the stamper/scraper set is £4.99.

  1. Cute designs but I couldn't use this either because of the small size. I also don't think it stamped cleanly in your first set which is a shame since I think the designs are super.

    1. That was my #1 bullet point. The scraper just isn’t the greatest. You need to scrape multiple times. I did the first stamp like I normally would and the middle nail is what I got. The index is clearer because I did 2-3 scrapes. I think if I use my go to scraper and stamper, it won’t be an issue. But yea, the images are still too small.

  3. I definitely like the smaller images instead of the full nail screens. I remember when my nails were really long that I had the same problem as you

  5. Too bad the images were too small and the scraper was bad. I do like how you used the single stamps to create a fun and colorful mani.

  6. I only see 25 images as well. I like the cactus so I don't know if the set is worth it for one stamp that I might be able to find elsewhere BUT if I can't find it I always have another stamper and scraper that I can use with it because I really want a cactus stamp now.

    1. I will definitely play around with other stampers, I just wanted to use their set. I also don’t tend to do single image manis so I prefer a plate that has a mix of full nail and singles.

    1. A lot of people do have smaller nails and end up with a ton of excess out their cuticle. But my nails are very short for me right now, and the images were just too small

  10. It's so frustrating having plates that should cover the nail but they don't. On the flip side, the cactus decal you did is adorable!
