Happy Monday! Today marks the beginning of the teaching semester, although I've been in the zone for a few weeks, planning my syllabi and such. Back to school for me means fall is coming! I love fall and I'm especially okay with cooler weather. Standing in front of a large classroom with all the heat is tiring! Zoya is transitioning us into the Fall with 2 collections. Today I'll be sharing the cremes and tomorrow the metallic holos! I have comparisons for each color so grab some coffee and browse away!

Zoya Urban Grunge Cremes for Fall 2016 + Comparisons |
Noah: 1 coat in person. 2 coats in phots plus top coat. In person, you couldn't really see the issues with one coat, but there were a few bald spots visible in photos. But this truly could be a one coater. It's a thicker polish since it's one coat, so it just take finessing. It's a perfect nude for the fall. It's sort of murky but beautiful.

Zoya Noah vs. Zoya Misty. Misty is on my ring finger and you can see it's lighter and has a green tone to it.

Zoya August: 2 coats. Same as Noah, you can totally get away with 1 coat in person. This grey is amazing. The touch of blue adds to it, making it more wearable. It's colorful but not. I love this one and it is my favorite of the collection.

Zoya August |
|
Zoya August |
Zoya August vs. Zoya Dove. Not even close. Dove is a true grey while August has that special touch of blue.

Zoya Tara: 2 coats. This one definitely needed two coats as I had some balding. What's a fall collection without some vampy shades? This one is much more plum colored than Courtney. I prefer Tara on my skin tone.

Zoya Tara |
Zoya Tara vs. Zoya Margo and Veronica. Close but no cigar! Margo is more berry colored (on my index) while Veronica is more red toned (on my ring).

Zoya Courtney: 2 coats. Like Tara, I could not get this as a one coater. It's more red-toned than Tara. Veronica is more berry toned. These are all slightly different. If you love this sort of color, you will probably want them all.

Zoya Courtney |
Zoya Courtney vs. Zoya Claire. Can you find how they differ? Claire is ever so slightly darker. Slightly. It's on my ring finger--can you see the difference? For me, they are too close to own both, but it depends on your skin tone. They both have the same formula too.

Zoya Mallory: 1 coat, but 2 for photos. Again, this can be a gorgeous one coat manicure. It's a bright blue and I love this color, but it felt familiar. It's gorgeous and awesome for a fall blue.

Zoya Mallory vs. Zoya Sia. Now, in the bottle shots, Sia looks a bit brighter. But on the nail, there's no difference. That made me kind of sad, so I tried it on a nail wheel. Still looks the same. Sia is from last fall, so it's not an old color, so I'm wondering how Mallory was created so close to Sia's collection. Sia's touch of bright doesn't translate on the nail next to Mallory.

Zoya Wyatt: 2 coats. I love this deep grass green. It will be perfect for harvest nail art, for holiday nail art in the winter. I love it and it's totally unique.

Zoya Wyatt vs. Talia. I did one coat of Talia because I was like LOL, these aren't the same at all. I'm glad Wyatt is truly original.

My absolute favorites are August and Wyatt. They are unique to the Zoya catalog. I'm a bit disappointed that Courtney and Mallory basically already exist, but I wonder if on different skin tones they make a drastic difference. I did also swatch these on a nail wheel to see if my camera was playing tricks, but nope--they are really too close for comfort.
