Hi all! Sorry for the late post today, but it happens! I actually JUST took this mani off today and it was so cute! So many people stopped to look at my hand! I just love autumn and I love the images that are associated with the season. I knew I had to do this acorn image!

I started with a base of Blush Lacquer Nerida Singer, which I bought last April at Polish Con. I needed three coats for opaqueness. Holy cow, I LOVE THIS COLOR!!

Then I grabbed 3 of the new Girly Bits fall cremes, and went to town! I used the Lina Autumn 01 plate for the acorn image and stamped with Stump Up the Jam. I filled in the top of the acorns with Butternut Leave Me and filled in the bottom with Acornucopia. I'm so cheesy but it was the perfect fit! Then I matte it, and I loved it! These Girly Bits cremes are amazing! I'll be back with a lot more art and proper swatches later.

I loved this look shiny also, but it was so shiny that it was difficult to photograph! The top coat is Girly Bits What A Rush, which dries super fast!

Acorn Nail Art with Autumn Dotticure

How freaking cute is this one? And so simple!

I started with a base of A England Princess Sabra (Tristam's Eyes). For the dots, I used A England Dragon (green), Avon Starburst (orange), and OPI DS Desire (brown). It was holo goodness. I used dotting tools and an unused pencil eraser for the huge dots.

Then on my index and thumb, I painted simple acorns. How cute is this? I just can't! And this is so relevant because the squirrels won't stop throwing acorns on my roof. It kind of scares the crap out of me sometimes.

I actually have a few acorn manicures on the blog (literally only two), but it’s definitely not something I do every season. But just warning, you plaid with pumpkins is probably coming as well.

Hello all. My professor was nice and let us out early from class last night so I was able to get in one last Thanksgiving and autumn manicure. Remember when I mentioned I wanted to do pumpkin and plaid after doing my acorn and plaid look? Happy 2025! As I enter into the new year, I want to reflect back on 2024! I knew this year would be intense for me with my doctorate. It has definitely taken over my life. You can do all the research on these programs, take notes on expectations, but until you really live it, you do not realize how consuming it is. In 2023, I really got back into leisure reading. Well, in 2024 I only read 15 leisure books (and not kidding, probably 1,000+ pages of research, and I wrote hundreds of pages--maybe I should add up how much I wrote in 2024 and cry hahah!). My nail art definitely was not a priority but as I looked back at the year, I was shocked that I usually still did 2-3 nail arts a month. Yay! So I have highlighted some favorites here!
