Pumpkins and Plaid, Thanksgiving Nail Art

 Press Sample

Hello all. My professor was nice and let us out early from class last night so I was able to get in one last Thanksgiving and autumn manicure. Remember when I mentioned I wanted to do pumpkin and plaid after doing my acorn and plaid look? Well here it is but this time it is very simple as I knew I would be taking these off soon and probably destroying them while cooking. So let’s get right to it.

I feel like my brain capacity for creating brand new art has been much smaller since I am in crunch time for my dissertation right now. I am about to hopefully hit the next milestone. So Pinterest has been a great way for me to try new art without thinking too hard.

As usual here the colors I used. I feel like what attracted me to this look on Pinterest was the color combination. I like the idea of the bright pumpkin orange with a muted green.

  • Base: Jessica Cosmetics Moose Milk
  • Green: Jessica Cosmetics Boho Chic
  • Orange: Jessica Cosmetics Pumpkin Spice
  • Gold: Morgan Taylor Gilded in Gold topped with  Zoya Astrid
  • Brown: Lechat Dare to Wear Harmony

I ended up doing the gold nail on my thumb as well. At first, I just did the Morgan Taylor and decided I wanted a little more so I added Astrid on top to make it a little more metallic and sparkly. I also matted one nail on my right hand and wasn't feeling it. So I kept this one shiny!

Well, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow if you celebrate. I am taking one day off and I will immediately get back into reading mode and I hope I can update you with some good news next week.

    1. Hi Tami, Thank you! I would say these pumpkins are rather simple, but I knew these would not stay on my nails long!
