KBShimmer Perfectly Seasoned Comparisons

Hello all. As usual, I like to do comparison posts because it helps me to narrow down what I keep as I have minimal space left in my helmers. I know that KBShimmer never directly dupes themselves, but many times the colors are a shade or two different and for me with such a large collection, I don’t need to keep them all. So let’s check out the ones that I decided to compare. 

Berry & Bright (left) and It’s My Jam (right)

 

This one I wanted to see because they look so similar in the bottle, but clearly It’s My Jam is way more pink and Berry and Bright is a true red. Berry and Bright also has this metallic aspect that I love so much. Not a dupe at all!

 

Perfectly Seasoned (left) and Smashed (right)

These are pretty much the same. Smashed has the slightest bit more yellow in it, but really I am being extremely nitpicky when I say this. I will definitely be purging one, but not sure yet. If you are a huge fan of these type of browns and holos, then keep both!

Flocking Fabulous (left) and Baking Spirits Bright (right)

I obviously knew that these two were very different because Flocking Fabulous has pink in it and larger glitters, but I figured people would want to see how these two look together. I personally prefer the smaller glitters of Baking Spirits Bright. Just depends on your vibe!

Watts Going On (left) and After Midnight (right)

I have to admit that these basically look the same. Watts Going On has some rainbow glitters in it but if you’re looking at it straight on, they aren’t that obvious until you put the flash on. I don’t need both of these and will be purging After Midnight because I love that extra rainbow sparkle and Watts Going On. Also my After Midnight smells SUPER strong now. I have no idea why because it did not have a significant smell when it first came out.

Skating By (left) and Snow Unique

I knew these were very different but I had a feeling that somebody would ask to see these compared. Snow Unique is just an amazing polish from PPU so I feel like people are always hoping to find an amazing dupe of it but it’s not. I love Skating By and would 100% get it even if I had Snow Unique.

Bundled Up (left) and The Tide is Right (right)

This is one that I felt I definitely had a dupe for. But the thing is, if I’m being honest, these are not my favorite types of colors and I usually get rid of them or put them in a purge pile immediately. So use your discretion, regarding if you think these are similar. In the bottle, these look strikingly similar but once you swatch them, you can see that Bundled Up has a lot more purple while The Tide is Right is much more blue. Do I think I need both of these? No. But that’s because these aren’t my favorite colors. If you’re someone who likes purple or blurple, then definitely grab both.

 

Get Your Knit Together (left) and Hard to Empress (right)

The polish I was really looking for was Foreseeable Fuchsia, but I don’t have it anymore. These looked close enough in the bottles, but they really are very different. I haven’t used Hard to Empress in a long time and it is sheer. Seeing it against Get Your Knit Together, I definitely prefer Get Your Knit Together. These are not the same as the new one has black flakes and the old one has a shifty shimmer.

 

There are probably more comparisons, but as I mentioned previously, I did a huge purge of polishes so they are all sitting in boxes, waiting to be in a blog sale.

There are five other colors in this collection that I either did not have a close enough color for or simply don’t have any other KBShimmer like it. I will say I felt Present Tense looked similar, but again because I’m not a purple person so I simply don’t have that many KB purples in my stash anymore.
