These type of Halloween nails are everywhere. I’ve seen them all over Pinterest, all over influencers nails, and other social media. I can’t remember if I pinned these last year or this year, but they were there and they definitely needed to be on my nails. I saw so many versions of this nail art and just decided to make it my own Based on lots of different images so let’s take a look.
Ok this is truly such a fun look. I have seen so many versions of this look, so I just drew out a look combining ideas. Many times, I just draw nail shapes on paper and sketch out loose ideas of what I want to do.
I love the idea of vintage quilts on your nails. This look has a bit of everything. I did some dry brush, some dabbing, dots, lines, you name it! It was sort of chaotic as I painted, as I kept adding layers upon layers to it.
Here are the colors I used. Not as many as this complicated art looks! It is basically the same colors repeated throughout.
- Cream base: Duri Cosmetics Bunny Slope
- Browns: Zoya Colin, Zoya Evan, Zoya Foster
- Green: Zoya Evvie
- Off-white: Jessica Cosmetics Lavish
- Oranges: Zoya Gidget, OPI It’s a Piazza Cake, OPI Have Your Panettone and Eat It Too
- Black creme
The great thing about this look is that it’s supposed to have a vintage quality to it meaning I didn’t exactly fill in every bit of nail polish and I let some of it be see-through and not fully opaque. It’s almost like an old quilt and what old quilt is perfect? I will admit I did get a bit of fatigue doing this on both hands but I think I also just had a really long day so that was my fault. This one definitely took over an hour. And I won’t lie, but my right hand was definitely not as nice as my left. But I still committed to having both hands look the same lol.
Ok I just love these sooooo much! I wore them until they chipped off! I cannot believe Halloween season is ending. I wish October was twice as long!
