Horticulturist Halloween Nail Art

Press Sample

I actually made a list of Halloween manicures I wanted to do. It was like 25 manicures, so that is not happening, but hey, great to have inspiration! I have adorable Halloween air plants from Trader Joe's that I somehow managed to kill. I wish I could be a good plant grower, but I just cannot keep indoor plants alive. Anyway, I saw a manicure on Pinterest that was "AI-generated" BLECH, so I said, I am going to create these myself!

Shout out to my friends at Stella Chroma and My Nail Polish Obsession who have gorgeous plant collections. They have gorgeous plants that can thrive! So this nail art is for them because look, I made plants live! Lol. This is a muted, dusty color palette for Halloween and I am here for it!

I reached for a combination of older colors and newer. I love using brands that I have not used in literally YEARS. This one is really pretty.

  • Beige base: Jessica Cosmetics Daylight, 3 coats
  • Sage Green base: Turtle Tootsie There, They’re, Their - Use Proper Grammar
  • Dark green: Jessica Cosmetics Meet At The Plaza
  • Oranges: OPI It’s A Piazza Cake and Have Your Panettone and Eat It Too
  • Black: Girly Bits it’s definitely him
  • White: KBShimmer White Here White Now
  • Grey: Jessica Cosmetics Falcon
  • Brown: mix of Jessica Cosmetics Woody and black creme

I truly love the idea of succulents because anyone is supposed to be able to keep them alive. Not me. But I still wanted to paint them! I actually have three succulents still, all in skull planters. But they are dying again. Sigh.

This is so funky for a Halloween manicure and I know people were looking at my nails thinking..."what am I looking at?" Lol! Also, Mr. Ehmkay has started saying Happy Halloween to everyone. Can't tell you how much I love that!

So are you someone who is good at keeping plants alive?!
