Hanukkah Nail Art

Press Sample

Last night was the second night of Hanukkah as it started on the 14th! Chanukah (both spellings work) celebrates the miracle of the eight nights of oil that was supposed to last one night. Well, I went through my blog and pulled up some older looks and decided to recreate this ugly sweater look from a few years ago!

Hanukkah nail art can be different as the symbols with Hanukkah simply are not as easy for nail art. You’ll typically see blues and white and Star of David’s (which are not really Hanukkah symbols). There are only so many variations of dreidels and menorahs, so I went back and looked at my last 12 years of Hanukkah nails and loved these enough to do them again.

Here are the colors!

  • Bases: Zoya Boo, Jessica Cosmetics Headliner, KBShimmer White Here White Now
  • Yellows: Zoya Taji, Jessica Cosmetics Sunglow
  • Other blues: Zoya Mallory, Zoya Walker
  • Reflectives: KBShimmer Slush Fund and Self-Reflection

I used different colors from last time and also added reflectives! This is the only way I use reflectives, as accents in art. I like that extra bit of sparkle.

This was brighter than the previous look which has dustier blues. I also simplified the design due to simply being tired. Actually a lot of people had comments on these! I also used more yellow this round.

This look has a menorah, dreidels, sparkly, and fun designs. It is a typical "ugly" sweater motif. Yet, it is so cute! I added the glitter accents randomly.

I still wanted to use flash for the reflectives. Since I did not use a lot, it was a hint of it. But I still love it! I used a beige and yellow gold reflective for this.

Happy Chanukah! This year is particularly symbolic given the world and its chaos, so I am happy to share my nail art for this holiday. Lots of love and light.
