KBShimmer Winter Wonderland Collection, 2025

Press Sample

Between my broken nails and the super gloomy weather, I was behind on swatching KBShimmer's newest collection. I figured let’s get this swatched so I can post it for you despite the weather. But honestly, you’ll probably be indoors most of your time in winter anyway so let’s check out these polishes.

Winter Wonderland Collection

As the flakes fall and the earth is covered in a blanket of snow, let us celebrate all that winter has to offer—both the joy of the chilly outdoors and the magic of the season.

Christmas Cocktail Hand & Body Scrub and Christmas Cocktail Cuticle Oil

The joy and laughter shared at a holiday gathering might be hard to capture in a scent, but this one comes close. This effervescent fragrance opens with lively citrus notes of clementine, pink grapefruit, and blood orange. Tart cranberry and a hint of sparkling wine add a bright punch, while sugared strawberries, ripe raspberries, candied apple, and warm amber bring depth and sweetness to this festive blend. With a fun label featuring mischievous cats and dogs getting into the holiday spirit, this scrub is one you won’t want to miss! And the Christmas Cocktail Cuticle Oil is the perfect scent for moisturizing those dry winter cuticles.

Fizzy Grapefruit is definitely the strongest part of the scent and this definitely is a fruity sent to me more than anything. I like it although it doesn’t scream holiday to me, I definitely get cocktail and fruit vibes, which I guess is perfect with the cocktail vibe.

Holiday Tree-ditions is a classic white crelly nail polish with a delicate mix of cheerful holiday colors—perfect for wearing while decorating. Cherry red metallic, elf green, and silver hex glitters have been carefully blended in an array of small to medium sizes, each accented with a dash of coordinating micro slices. Apply 2–3 coats for best results, or layer 1–2 over White Here, White Now.

Holiday Tree-ditions: 3 coats. You could get away with two coats of this polish, but I opted for a third thin coat so that I could have more glitter on the nail. This is a cute Christmas crelly and we’ve had variations of it over the years so this is another one to add to your collection if you like these sort of polishes. It has much bigger glitters than the older Baking Spirits Bright. I will have a comparison post soon.

Cherry Fulfilling is a bright cherry-red jelly nail polish packed with an array of twinkling holographic glitters. These silvery hex holographic bits range from micro to small in size, catching the light like facets on jewels. Two coats plus a layer of Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top give a perfect finish, though those with longer nails may prefer a third coat.

Cherry Fulfilling: 2 coats. I wasn’t sure how I would like this read because it is such a cherry bright red, but with the glitters, it toned it down and make it really fun for me to wear. I was shocked that it had a jelly quality, but was opaque for my current nail length in only two coats. I only wore this for a few minutes but no stains to report.

Elf Taught is a magnetic nail polish perfect for the holiday season. A deep and rich maroon-red base sets off a sparkling pull of magnetic green, creating a festive manicure fit for any gathering. When worn velvet-style, the green gleams with flashes of red that shift with the light. When worn cat-eye style, the stripe of green sparkles against the deep crimson base. This shade covers well in two coats.

Elf Taught: 2 coats. I did a bar magnet on the center nails and the horseshoe magnet on the outer nails. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen many magnetic polishes like this. It is beyond cool. It’s just got a funky green flash in that deep red brown base and I really like it. I appreciate when I see new and innovative colors. This very much reminds me of 2018’s Santa Claws, which is long discontinued.

Wreathin' Havoc reflective nail polish is a nod to holiday wreaths. This reflective shade is unique with its color-shifting multichrome base. It features a hint of warm gold that accents the pine-green foundation, catching glimpses of Kelly green and blue at different angles. In brighter light, the reflective glitter flashes hues of golden lime. Best in two coats— follow with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for a glass-like finish.

Wreathin' Havoc: 2 coats plus topcoat. This is a very vibrant green much different than previous KBShimmer green reflectives. I will definitely have to do a comparison because a quick look into my helmer shows that I have four other KBShimmer green reflectives. This one has a sort of metallic tone to it. At extreme angles, you can see the blue and different green shimmers.

How Froze It? magnetic nail polish stuns with its icy color palette, perfect for velvet-style manicures. A pale, silver-toned aqua mint hue takes center stage, shifting to green, then pale pink, before morphing into a lavender tone—all with a silvery undertone. Worn cat-eye, two coats cover nicely, though some may prefer layering over black or adding a third coat to deepen the tone. Top with Clearly On Top for a glass-like finish. For a different look, try it with our ZigZag or Ring Magnets.

How Froze It?: 2 coats. The center nails is with a bar magnet and the outer nails is with the horseshoe magnet since I love the horseshoe magnet effect. I know they mentioned using other fun shapes, but I didn’t feel like it. This is definitely a post snowstorm on the road look where the snow is dirty against the concrete. That doesn’t mean I think my nails look like dirt lol this is a funky vibe. The second coat brought out more black colors of the magnetic polish.

Sleet Deal is an ultramarine-blue jelly nail polish loaded with icy, color-shifting flakes. Morphing from pale blue to periwinkle, at some angles you can even catch a hint of lavender. These large yet delicate flakes vary in size—from extra large shards to tiny specks—adding depth and visual interest. Micro holographic glitters bring extra sparkle, making this the perfect winter shade. Two coats plus a layer of Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top create a flawless finish, though those with longer nails may prefer a third coat.

Sleet Deal: 3 thin coats plus top coat. You will benefit from thinner coats here and letting each coat dry a few minutes to prevent spreading the polish and making it thick in spots. I also dabbed the second coat. I do love that blue jelly base and this polish is just absolutely loaded with flakes. It also sort of gives mermaid vibes for the summer. It’s really pretty, but you definitely have to be patient with it. I would probably wear this over a navy blue creme next time and only do 1-2 coats.

Sticky Situation nail polish is a shimmery nod to the beautiful wrapping paper we love to have but sometimes hate to use. This rich, jewel-toned purple shade leans toward grape, with hints of fuchsia visible at certain angles. A jade-green to dusty-teal shimmer fades into the purple base, creating a striking finish. Apply 2–3 coats, followed by Clearly On Top, for the best results.

Sticky Situation: 3 coats. This is really the only polish that I felt meh on in the collection only because I feel like I’ve seen a purple with a blue and green shimmer a million times. Of course I’d have to do a comparison, but if you’re a purple lover, this is a great polish to get. If you are someone like me, you are probably like it’s fine. It’s pretty. This reminds me of an earlier polish from 2022 called My Fla-vor-ite Color and 2018’s Succ It Up. It might be slightly deeper and darker.

Bake Stuff Happen is a shimmering, shifty reflective nail polish inspired by colorful sanding sugar. A cool, grape-leaning purple base sets off a shifting shimmer with a near-aqua, minty flash. As you flip your wrist, tones of purple and pink shine through, with some angles even revealing hints of blue. In bright light, purple reflective glitter catches and flashes brilliantly. Two coats plus a layer of Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top are recommended for a glass-like finish.

Bake Stuff Happen: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a different reflective as it has a strong green shimmer in it. What’s weird is that depending on the angle? I took the reflective photos, different colors appeared. So it’s a shifting and fun polish and if you’re into reflective, this is a great one to add to your collection.  The shimmer reminds me of Superior Sunset, which I purged, but that was a Polish Pickup and much more pink so if you missed out, grab this one. I also prefer the color base of this one more.

Yarned and Dangerous is a twinkling multichrome nail polish. Warm hues of magenta, copper, and eggplant shift into cooler violet and pink tones. Glistening holo glow flakes add a touch of sparkle and whimsy, with rainbow flair in bright light. Two coats offer ample coverage for most nail lengths. Follow with a coat of Clearly On Top to extend the life of your manicure and add shine.

Yarned and Dangerous: 2 coats.  Multichrome with holo glow flakes is one of my favorite finishes. When I feel indecisive about what I want to wear, I seem to always reach with a polish with this finish. The eggplant purple is really pretty with all the different shifts of shimmer. Love this one. No notes.

A Real Gem is a flash reactive glitter nail polish topper featuring a carefully blended mix of reflective glitters that creates a rainbow-like effect when the light hits. Magenta, gold, orange, green, blue, purple, and flashes of silver make this the perfect accompaniment to any crème polish. Top with Smooth Moves and Clearly On Top for best results.

A Real Gem: 3 coats. This one is definitely meant to be layered, but I wanted to see how it would look on its own. I would probably put this over a silver or a pastel color so it didn’t take away from all of the different colors in the polish. This is a fun take on a reflective since it has holiday colors in a silver base. It pulls grey on its own, so I would definitely layer or gradient with this next time.

These colors are available now in the KBShimmer shop!
