KBShimmer February Polish Pickup

Press sample

Hello all! Wow, we are already close to February and my brain cannot compute! Today I am sharing KBShimmer's contribution to Polish Pickup, which is movie themed. This is a stunning polish, so let's just take a look instead of the chit chat!

KBShimmer Zesty Lemon Hand & Body Scrub - $10 – No Cap

Fresh, tart, and not too sweet, Zesty Lemon scrub has notes of fresh lemon zest along with a hint of juicy grapefruit. Subtle white musk notes anchor this refreshing scrub for a scent anyone will enjoy. The bright citrus notes make this the perfect scrub to keep in the kitchen for use after spring garden prep, or in your bathroom to help you embrace the morning. Best used on wet skin, the luxe oils and butters in this scrub combine with water to form a lotion that helps to moisturize and soften even the most stubborn of rough, dry patches. Zesty Lemon is not overly sweet, with just the ideal tartness for use all over the body.

I am a lemon lover! I love that this isn't mixed with vanillas and other things to muddle it. It's a nice and refreshing lemon and it's my jam! I want this in cuticle oil, please!

Tastes Like - KBShimmer Nail Polish - $12- No Cap

One of my favorite movies took me on a journey to a chocolate factory, where a gleaming ticket of gold allowed our hero to experience a river of chocolate, lickable wallpaper, and fizzy soda, all with the goal of getting an everlasting treat. That purple coat and singing cast took me away and caused many a chocolate bar to be opened slowly, hoping for my own glimmer of gold.

Tastes Like is a nod to that infamous scene with the tasty, fruit-decorated wallpaper. An array of colorful flakes mirror the yummy fruits, while a bold purple base, inspired by that iconic purple coat, helps those flakes pop. The result is a fun, though not lickable, polish you're sure to love. Best in two coats, we love this shade with a matte topcoat for maximum flake goodness.

Tastes Like: 3 thin coats plus top coat then matte top coat. You could absolutely do two coats with this polish because it was basically opaque on my nails. But with flake polishes like this, I much prefer thin coats so that I could have more flakes. The thinner the coats, the more flakes you can put on your nail and get that amazing look. The purple base is no too dark and not too light that the flakes don't shine through. And the formula was nice with no flakes curling up or sticking everywhere.

The pictures below have one coat of matte top coat. Honestly, this is how I would wear this polish because the flakes just pop off the base nail color. I adore how rainbowy this polish is, and I am sure purple lovers will flock to it!

The polish and the sugar scrub will be available February 3rd through February 6th in the Polish Pickup shop. Shipping is flat rate $3 in the US and starts at $6 to Canada.

    1. I think my first KB may have been in 2012 from her Etsy store wow! We are old school indie lovers! This purple is awesome--the flakes are abundant. I want about half her sugar scrubs in oils!
