Stella Chroma Vintage Holiday Glam, Swatches and Review

 Happy hump day. Are you ready for a holiday collection?! Due to post office estimations, Pam decided to bump up the release so that you can ensure you get your pretty polishes and gifts in time. How thoughtful! I love the vintage inspiration of this holiday collection. More so, I love that it is not so 'Christmas heavy' meaning it is versatile for all! Since Chanukah is in November, I'll be back with some art with these soon!

VINTAGE HOLIDAY GLAM

 

From the creator Pam, "The initial inspiration for this collection came from a blue velvet reindeer decoration that my grandma always put out for Christmastime. There was another something that say by it, but I don't remember what it was. I just remember it was bright pink velvet. Maybe a tree? She always had chocolate-covered coconut creme candies as well. And my other grandma had one of those cool tinsel trees. So, through my grandmas, the STELLA CHROMA Vintage Holiday Glam collection was born!"

 

 

Glam: 2 coats (dries matte)  then with top coat. "An in-your-face pink that dries down to an attention-getting matte finish. A hint of shimmer to give it a nice depth. Completely change this look with a clear topcoat. $13 for 15 mL." 

She was not kidding about top coat transforming this color. It almost appears holo. I love matte polish and this went on like butter. There can usually be streaks, but not with this polish. I totally love it!

 

Blue Velvet: 2 coats (dries matte) then with top coat. "A vibrant, cobalt blue with just a hint of shimmer that dries down matte. Can add a swipe of clear topcoat to enjoy a shiny version. Opaque in 2 coats, $13 for 15 mL."

Yessss, a blue version of Glam! I wore this one longer to test for staining and you can see some of my nail ridges, but it really isn't that bad. You can always wear a ridge filler too. This one is so gorgeous. Blue Velvet is literally the perfect name! I am totally down with this. No staining, by the way!

 

Coconut Creme: 3 coats plus top coat 2 coats had the tiniest bit of VNL. "A warm white creme with red/gold shimmer that's sweet like candy! Opaque in 2-3 coats. $13 for 15 mL."

For in person, I’d just do two but since these were photos, I did 3. Really, there was not much difference. Y'all, this polish wanted to hide the shimmer. It is so there and so evident in person and it was just not showing up for photos. Believe me, it is there and so pretty. I just love white polishes. A 2 coat white polish is a winner.

 

Space Age Tree: 2-3 coats but I chose 3 for photos. "A super cool blue/teal/green/silver multichrome with a hint of gold flakies. Opaque in 2 coats. $13 for 15 mL."

How fun is this?! I love the addition of gold flakes to oomph up a multichrome. This really is like a space age tree! There are hints of purple at extreme angles too! This one is for any multichrome lover!
 

Tangled Tinsel: 1 coat over Glam and over Blue Velvet. "A silver topper full of holographic dust, holo flakies, and silver flakes. Looks amazing over any of our shades - especially the other Vintage Holiday Glam colors. $11 for 15 mL."

I cannot believe how much this is like tinsel. This is one of those top coats that will look amazing over any color. I should have done it over coconut creme, because I know that would give me ice queen vibes. This is something that I know I will continue to pull out. Plus, it is stunning matte too!
