Morgan Taylor Spring 2020, Editor's Picks

Press Sample

Good day! Today I have the newest Morgan Taylor collection for Spring 2020. You might look at it and think it's pretty simple, but I really love this soft collection. I definitely think it has more mass appeal, so I can see what they chose this palette. Sheers can be tricky too, and I think these sheer polishes have wonderful formulas. I have really been craving and reaching for a palette like this, and I adore this collection. This collection is inspired by fashion and springtime, so this totally fits the bill.

Barely Buff: 3 coats. Palest pink creme.  This is one of those French manicure colors and would be perfect with a white tip or a white gradient (exactly what I want to do right now!). It is definitely sheer and it will never get opaque, but it's not supposed to. It's supposed to be that hint of color.

Call My Blush: 3 coats. Soft sheer pink. This is a pink version of Barely Buff. Not going to lie...I did not want to take this color off. This one is more opaque, yet it is still sheer. This is one I would wear on its own. It's so pretty. If you wanted, you could do a fourth coat and it would probably be opaque, but I love the sheerness and I don't believe in four coats of polish lol.

On Cloud Mine: 3 coats. Sheer peachy pink. Now onto the peach version of this color. I do prefer Call My Blush on my skin tone, but I still like this. I think this would be stunning on darker skin tones. Again, it's more opaque than the other two because it has more peach pigment.

Going Vogue: 2 coats. Antique rose creme. Absolutely loving this color. It actually could be a careful one coater. This leans a bit more purple on me, so I think the amount of pink or purple you pull out of the base depends on your skin tone. I'm a big fan on this gorgeous creme.

It's Your Mauve: 2 coats. Mauve creme. This is another great creme formula, but definitely a solid two coater. This has much more pink and brown undertones and it's really just so very pretty. It would make a subtle but beautiful gradient with Going Vogue.

I Speak Chic: 2 coats. Taupe nude creme. The last color is your much needed taupe. Since this is a fashion-centered collection, taupe is a must! It has a great formula, like the others. This is an even-centered taupe, meaning there's not too much yellow in it so I don't get lobster hands!

I absolutely love this collection. I really crave neutrals and soft colors and these are some of my favorites. I'm feeling springtime already!

These polishes are available now for $9.50 each. There is also a mini set available with four of the colors. You can grab these at Sally Beauty and Ulta (online and in store).
