Valentine’s Day Galaxies

Happy Valentine's Day week! While I do not make a huge deal of Valentine's Day, after weeks of dark nails, I went full blown into pink nails at the end of January, so I'll be sharing those looks this week! I actually just took these off yesterday, but decided to share them first! So let's get into this look.

Of course, I saw something like this on Pinterest and made it a little bit my own. I have done Valentine's Day galaxies before but like a real space manicure, which you can see here. Wow that look is 12 years old! This one is more like a Valentine's Day Milky Way! 

• I pulled out lots of old colors for this look! I love that they were all still usable!
• Base: Morgan Taylor Call My Blush
• Light pink: Morgan Taylor Cou-tour the Streets
• Medium pink: Morgan Taylor B-girl Style
• Darkest pink: Morgan Taylor Flip Flops and Tube Tops 
• Flake top coat: KBShimmer In a Flurry 
• White: KBShimmer White Here White Now 

I simply added swirls of the three different pinks on my nails. They don't need to match at all. You can change the order of the pinks or use different pinks or reds on each nail. Whatever floats your boat. Then I decided to add sparkle and dabbed on the top coat on only the outside of my nails. Lastly I added three hearts per nail and random polka dots!

 

Hearts can be annoying to draw. I tend to do the three dot technique where I dab an upside triangle of three dots. Then I connect them with rounded lines. I obviously am not perfect, but the hearts come out decently each time!
