Zoya Kihone, January Color of the Month

Oh hi. I am behind on sharing previous Zoya color of the months, and they sold out. Whomp. The problem is that these colors don’t usually get to me until halfway through the month. So I made an effort of showing off this month’s color despite its late arrival. Anyway, we are expecting loads of snow tomorrow, like most of the country, so this snowy shimmer is perfect for right now.

 

Zoya’s January Color of the Month is a luminous white overlay ignited with vivid pink-fire reflect. Inspired by winter in motion, Kihone captures the moment light cuts through cold air and energy flashes beneath the surface. Named for Khione, the Greek spirit of snow, the shade reflects winter at its most elemental - bright, cold, and alive with motion.

Wear Kihone alone for a sheer wash of glowing light. Build it up to intensify the pink fire, or layer it over other shades to transform them with a high-impact, light-catching finish. Every angle tells a different story.

Kihone: 1 coat over Zoya Velma. This is described as an overlay, and so it really will never be opaque, and I decided to put it over one of my favorite colors from the Zoya fall collection. I love the deep raspberry jam color, and I thought this would be a fun look to pair together I did one coat. This looks very similar to an older color Leia, but it has more of an orange to pink shimmer rather than a pink to purple shimmer. That being said, not sure you need both but you do you with your interests and likes it all depends what sort of colors you enjoy.
