Pink Gradient Nail Art

 Press Sample

Hello everyone! I threw my parents a surprise anniversary party a few months ago, so I figured I would finally get around to sharing that art! I decided to make all the party favors (royal icing cookies with a custom cookie cutter that I also made) and a tiered cake, so I was so tired! So when it came to my nails, I did them late at night and needed something simple!

I decided to wear a black dress with pink and purple florals (picture below) so I went with a quick gradient. I originally was going to do three colors with a darker purple at my tips, but decided against it. This is one of those easy gradients where I did not even whip out a makeup sponge. Just use the brush!

This was simple and involved two readily available colors! I feel like I am always using discontinued colors but not on purpose. You can grab this from Stella Chroma, though her shop is on a break until February 1.

Here are the colors I used:

  • Base: Stella Chroma Rose Quartz, 2 coats
  • Darker Pink: Stella Chroma Sangria, dabbed on tips

Of course you can see how sparkly these nails are in the above photos, but the sun did pop out, so I had to share more pictures with this look in the sunshine. These polishes are so sparkly with very little effort and they are so easy to remove. So it’s like getting a full-blown glitter manicure without the annoying mess or struggle of the removal.

This is literally the only picture I took with my dress. But you get the picture of the colors and the tones and how the nails complimented with the black base of my dress. The event was such a success, and although the surprise party was not exactly a surprise, there were so many elements that my parents didn’t know about so it really was a successful surprise party.
