Today I am sharing my third Halloween manicure, which is more autumnal, but I like Halloween nail art that is not so in your face (as most of mine are lol). I saw a random Pinterest of stained glass windows with pumpkins and knew I needed them on my nails so let's take a deeper look!
I absolutely love stained glass. In another world, I would be a glass blower and stained glass maker. I loved this idea of a Halloween look against a night sky. So of course, I reached for Stella Chroma Perseids, because what is more night sky than a nail polish inspired by meteor showers?
Here are my colors! It was fairly simply actually! I made my "lead" gold so that it would stand out more against the darker base.
- Blue base: Stella Chroma Perseids
- Gold: Morgan Taylor Gilded in Gold
- Orange: Stella Chroma Bye Fall-icia
- Yellow: Stella Chroma You Blockhead
- Brown: Jessica Cosmetics Me, U, & Hennessy
It actually worked that the yellow and the orange were more sheer, because it emulates the stained glass vibe. Obviously glass would not be super opaque, so you can see a bit of the deep blue sky showing through. Also, this yellow is just perfect! It is originally matte so it is perfect for this nail art!
And here are my nails in the sun. I just loved how it looked in the sun. The gold polish so opaque, so it was perfect for this look. I liked the addition of the diamonds just to give more dimension to my windows. You could obviously do this with more spooky images like a ghost or a jack-o-lantern, but I loved the simplicity of the pumpkins.
This was a lovely look to wear and people did comment on them. Actually, I have found it funny that people have been commenting on my clothing, jewelry, and nails. It is like they are shocked to see someone wearing festive accessories!
