Zoya Yuki, January 2025 Color of the Month

Press Sample

So I wore these nail polishes to a baptism that was on January 11. Yup here I am two and a half months later finally posting them. I have no excuse and I am totally bummed out that these are no longer available, but I still wanted to post them because I know for myself, I actually do go back to my swatches, especially when I’m looking at purging polishes. So here they are because at least you can see the other three polishes in this quad that are available on Zoya's website.

Yuki is a winter white is infused with reflective opalescent flakes and holographic accents, creating a mesmerizing, multi-dimensional shimmer. For an added touch of innovation, Yuki features Zoya’s first-ever ultra-fine ridge filler basecoat built-in, ensuring a smooth, flawless finish with no need for additional layers.

Zoya shares that there are three ways to wear Yuki:
  • One coat: A sheer, frosty accent for subtle sophistication.
  • Two coats: Semi-translucent magic with a touch of holographic depth.
  • Three coats: Fully opaque brilliance for a bold, snowy statement.
You can see the three coats of Zoya Yuki on my index nail.

I did three coats of Yuki on its own, but I actually wore the full manicure of two coats of Madison with one coat of Yuki. This is on the middle nail. I absolutely love the sparkle that this topcoat gives. I have shown it here on its own, but I really don’t think I’d ever wear it on its own. Basically do what you like. Yuli has a wide brush. The other three did not but they provided the wide brushes for me to put it on my own. They seem to do this with their quads and it actually annoys me. At this point, make them all wide. I never switch them out because it's a mess to do.

Yuki was part of an inspired quad which included:
  • Madison: Pale pink with a sheer, milky creme finish.
  • Abby: Soft lavender cream.
  • Emerson: A modern baby blue cream.

I actually didn’t own Madison and I don’t know why because I love colors like these. I could not locate my Emerson. I do have an old Abby and I compared my old Abby to the new one and the new one seems a bit brighter so I’m swapping those out in my collection. I think the colors that came in the quad are really great and since we are heading into spring (although today is freezing again), these are perfect pastels to wear right now. I do wish Yuki was still available, but that is the nature of these limited additions so sorry if you were waiting on my swatches lol I’m trying to do better.

Unfortunately, this quad is no longer available. Sorry! The other three colors are available for purchase though. Hope you don't mind that I'll be sharing other monthly quads, even though they are not available!

    1. The coordinating colors were greats choices for this quad and great for spring. I can't believe I didn't have Madison. My spreadsheet says I have Emerson but I cannot find it at all. I feel like there are many colors like Yuki from indies, so you can recreate the vibe easily!
