Zoya Seren, December Color of the Month

Press Sample

I met with my dissertation supervisor last night and I am on cloud nine. I had vocalized Monday night that I was disappointed I didn’t hit my goals for this semester and then Tuesday was surprised I did hit my goals. She encouraged me to take the next two weeks off and relax before a chaotic next semester and I will do just that. I jumped into swatching! I wanted to make sure I posted the Zoya December color of the month because it is so pretty! I expected a red glitter for December but was happily surprised with a beautiful blue. So let’s get to it!

Get ready to shine bright this month with Seren, our December Color of the Month! This stunning deep royal blue is packed with holographic glitter and shimmering blue micro glitter, creating a mesmerizing, reflective effect. The deep, rich blue hue is both confident and fun, and the dazzling glitter will make you stand out. It's a stunning color that captures the essence of the season: a blend of elegance, luxury, and a touch of whimsy.

So, this December, let Seren be your go-to color. It's the perfect way to add a little sparkle to your December.

Seren: 3 coats plus top coat. I love this color for the holidays and it is a perfect Hanukkah nail color. Zoya has been going hard with these glitter finishes and I’m a-okay with that. This one went on pretty sheer on the first coat so I found doing three thin coats was my preference but if you have shorter nails, you may get away with two thick coats. It’s such a pretty blue. I can envision this with white stamped snowflakes. I even tested it as a gradient and I love these glitter finishes for gradients. No staining to report.

Of course, I had some comparisons. Jean on the left, Seren in the middle, Amaris on the right. Clearly, Amaris is much darker. Jean and Seren are closer, but Jean is a bit brighter yet deeper. Seren is a lighter shade of blue. You don’t really need both Jean and Seren but I may keep both because I have them. Not sure!

Do you think I need both Jean and Seren? I would say if you do not have either, Seren edges it out a bit because of the brightness and I love it!
