Daisy Nail Art with Morgan Taylor

Happy June! We are in my birthday month! Actually, it was this past weekend. I did not think I would have a quarantine birthday, but here we are! Cheers to next year, haha. To kick off June, I'm sharing my daisy nail art which was inspired by this look from One Nail to Rule Them All. Obviously, mine is a little different but that is what nail art is all about! I did these a few weeks ago, but decided to take some time off on the blog. So I am happy to return with some florals!

I was actually craving a sheer polish and had been wanting to use the Morgan Taylor Editors Picks collection from the spring. I just love the soft sheers! What better than to pair the sheer polish with some floral nail art?

I used a base of three coats of Morgan Taylor Call My Blush, which is a bright pink sheer polish. For the yellow dots, I used Morgan Taylor Glow Like a Star, which is just the perfect yellow!

I used a black and white creme for my daisy petals. My petals were very thick but it's all good! Actually, this was one of those manis that looked better from afar, but I still love it.

I had actually planned to matte this look. I tend to do my manis, top coat, and then matte the next day. Well, here is what initially happened to my manicure--can you see how the white absorbed the pink? How and why did that happen?! I have seen this happen when I have super pigmented bases with art over it but this was a sheer base! So I redid the petals for my photos above and re-wore it a few more days!

  1. Ohhh that absorbing happens to me very often as well! It's strange that it happened with such a sheer base, though, I agree. The mani is super cute though, I'm glad you redid the petals and got to enjoy it a little longer!
