First of all, Happy Birthday Mom! I figured let me show off my favorite mani of 2020 (lol there hasn't been many) since it's her birthday! What's more celebratory than gold?! I had been itching to do a mani with silver foil, but then I picked pink as my base and felt gold was a better color! Also, you're looking at a mani I wore for 9 days!

First I want to share a tool from Beauty Big Bang that I used to pick up and press down the gold foil. You can use this tool to rub in powders over gel, or use it for placing rhinestones. The brush can be found HERE and I have color 4C, which is a lime green color. It's on sale for $1.99 and it is a silicone double ended brush.

I started with a base of All American Girl, a sheer light pink color from the Fall 2019 Forever Marilyn collection. I actually wore it alone for two days because it was such a gorgeous palate cleanser.
Then with a makeup sponge, I did gradient tips with Young, Wild, and Free-sia from the Spring 2019 collection. It was the perfect dusty coral color.

After the gradient, I ripped pieces of gold foil and rubbed them onto my nails. It was super simple. Because the foil is textured, I did top off the manicure with two coats of top coat and rocked it for over a week!
