Red Dead Redemption II Nail Art

Press Sample

Today, I'm taking a little break from Halloween looks to share my nail art for Red Dead Redemption II. I'm not a video game player at all, but I thoroughly enjoy watching certain games! One of those games is Red Dead Redemption. It's a Western Cowboy type game, but it's sooo much more than that. It's a timepiece. My darling says it's a combination of spaghetti western-inspired films and Pulp Fiction. It's really just so cool! It came out in 2010 and today, the sequel comes out! While he hasn't picked this up yet today, I will probably force him just so I can watch! He hasn't played video games in ages but I told him he has to get this (and he agrees!)

I looked to the official image of the game to create my nail art. Of course, John Marsten (the main cowboy in the image below), was a little difficult for me to paint. I looked to the blazing sun and the lettering for my inspiration!

I started with a base of Girly Bits Rust in the Wind, which is one of her new fall cremes. It was perfect for my base! The sunset is Girly Bit Butternut Leave Me. Then I ued a white and black creme for the lettering.

Lettering is hard, especially when you're trying to follow a logo! Trust me, I redid "dead" a few times and this was what I was satisfied with!

I have to say, doing letters is just so hard for me! But if you compare my lettering to the logo, I think I did a decent job! I matted this look because I just felt it was a better fit for the game.

Just wanted to share the look without the bottle. I wish we had the game when I did these nails, but obviously it came out today and we are going to try and get it today!

  11. I'm the same way. I love to play some games but most of the games I like to watch the storyline as my Hubs plays them, especially FPS's like Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and Red Dead Redemption. He's going to be picking it up as well later this month so I might have to surprise him and try to recreate this look, of course we know that it won't end up looking anywhere near as good as yours ;)
