More loose flakes! I tell ya, I can't get enough of these. I also have fun experimenting with these over different colors. I think I mostly prefer either blackened colors or a white. But I used an in between brighter purple this time, and well, let's get to it.

Like all the loose flakes, it comes in a seal pod like below. It's then placed in another sealed baggie. I swear, I could stare at these for hours.

So I put this over Zoya Maeve, which is a midrange purple. I put on my sticky base coat and rubbed in the flakes. When I did this, it was super humid. I actually didn't take pictures until 3 days later (sorry for my tip wear!), and the combination of the flakes and humidity cause this weird wrinkling. I've used this flake before in another color and it didn't do this so I'm attributing this to the weather.

The colors are predominantly blue, purple, and green, with flashes of red. I think I would have preferred this over a black creme, which I'll do again.

This powder/flakes retails for $2.59. This is color #2 and you can see the other color HERE. I really loved the color #1 so I'm not sure why this one wrinkled overnight and was so textured. Maybe it didn't agree with the Zoya? I am planning on using it again over KBShimmer Eclipse, which is what I did last time.

These flakes are so fun!! I’m addicted to them also. I like that you tried another base color but agree that they will really pop over black.
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect base shade for these!
