13 Days of Halloween: Pumpkin Stamping

Press Sample

It's not Halloween without some pumpkins, and why not some pastel pumpkins?! I'm sure I'll be back with another pumpkin nail art, but I wanted to give this Born Pretty Stamping Polish called Pumpkin Fairy (how appropriate!) some love!

13 Days of Halloween: Pumpkin Stamping

First, let me get into the stamping polish. It's called Pumpkin Fairy and it's actually a thermal! It's a yellow to orange thermal. As you can see, it stamps well. The issue is how it appears over colors. I definitely struggled, as I did this over brown, beige, and a sparkly neutral. I finally tried a good old white, and there ya go! If you want to use this over a dark color, I suggest double stamping with a white first, then Pumpkin Fairy!

After I stamped it over a white base, I decided to matte the mani. I feel like it gives off a jack-o-lantern feel. It's like the pumpkins are glowing!

The shift was obvious in person but hid for the camera. So I dipped my nails in cold water and in the next few pictures, you can see the orange. Now that I think about it, you could paint your nails with Pumpkin Fairy that then stamp the ring finger image! UGH. I think I'm going to do that now! The negative stamping image would show off the transition.

This polish retails for $5.99, but it's currently on sale for $3.99. As I said above, it's called Pumpkin Fairy or BP-I11. There are a total of 12 colors and you can see the other colors HERE. I'll be back with this one, now that I thought of another way to do that. Isn't that funny how it works? As I was typing up this post, I finally figured this color out!

Any other pumpkin manis that you want to see?!

  1. The thermal effect is so fun! This is the first time I've seen a thermal used in a stamped mani. And it is so dang festive! :)
