Born Pretty Mermaid Powder with Mermaid Stamping

Press Sample

I know I don't normally post on the weekends like this, but I'm trying to get everything in before October so I can focus on nail art for me! Even though October is next week, I'm still melting in heat. I WANT BOOTS AND JEANS AND VEST WEATHER. Ok, I'll relax and instead share some mermaid powder with you!

The powder comes in a sealed bag with a eyeshadow applicator type thing. Be careful when you remove that protective seal you can see. I still have mermaid powder everywhere...

I wanted this to be a legit mermaid so I used the Born Pretty Green Mood Polish I posted the other week as my base! While it was tacky, I put a layer of the mermaid powder on it! Don't mind my ding on my middle nail. That was fully me throwing my hand in the air and whacking something. But I wanted to stamp anyway.

The shimmer is insane. Like, hello shiny! I love how it looks!

Then I used a MoYou plate, I forget which one, and added a variety of mermaid-like images. See, you can't see my ding anymore. Ugh, this manicure is so cute!

I was curious how the shimmer looked matte, and I think it might be more amazing!! I want to use this powder over all the colors! And it's so cool over the thermal!

The mermaid powder retails for $2.79 each or you can get all 10 colors for $11.79. I sort of want them all. You can find other nail polishes and nail art tools HERE.

If you want to place an order at Born Pretty, you can get 10% off your order with the discount code PDX31 at checkout. As always, shipping is free.

  1. That is a really nice shimmer! I tried something similar from Isadora but I couldn't really make it look as good as I wanted to and I had powder all over me and the desk.

    1. I opened it up like an idiot. It's still everywhere. lol. But it does create a pretty result!

  2. That shift in the powder is no joke! Green and blue are the perfect mermaid nails! I love how you masked the ding with stamping (totally done that too! or with water marbles that have bubbles). :)

    1. I had planned on stamping from the start and it just wasn't worth repolishing, waiting, doing the powder. lol. It was totally my fault and not the powder. But all was good with the stamping! Haha
