One of my favorite polishes (before my collection massively grew) was a sheer neutral from a mainstream brand. Then, indies blew up and I was all about the glitter and sparkle. Yet, I always love a good neutral and I still do! There's nothing better than a classic neutral (or palette cleanser). I also love them for nail art. The Exposed collection consists of 6 great neutrals and I have 5 today (one was not in my press sample box--I'm assuming they just forgot it!). I'm missing Innocence (an ivory creme), but lots of other bloggers have swatches!

I've seen other bloggers get these opaque in two coats. This is all about preference. I prefer to apply thinner coats and I also have an opaque free edge. I will say, that most of these looked great at 2 coats, but my pesky index is SO opaque, it required a third.
Nude Affair: 3 coats plus top coat. This is a true beige creme, and on me, it pulls the slightest pink. I love how this looks against my skin (actually I love all of them). It's a great balance of peach and pink with the beige base.

Honeybuns: 3 coats. As you can see, Honeybuns has much more orange to it, making this a golden honey creme. I'm impressed with Lechat's way of describing this neutrals. It makes perfect sense. I can see myself putting this on my toes actually. Actually, I want to right now.

Laced Up: 3 coats plus top coat. We are moving into the pink spectrum and the next two are really nice. This is a muted blush creme. I love that it's not too pastel, which seems to be all the pinks I have in this. The blush color is GORGEOUS.

Babydoll: 3 coats plus top coat. This is what I wore for a few days after my failed nail art attempt (before I did the art in this post). Eeeek, it's such a pretty shade of dusty rose. It makes wearing pinks more doable for me. I just don't reach for pinks. I truly loved wearing this!

Cocoa Kisses: 3 coats. This is such a yummy color! Can you believe I have nothing like it? Lechat describes this as a deep hazel chai, and that is spot on! I don't have any chai colored polish! It's just a beautiful shade of beige brown. I really love this.

I had tried to do marble nails with this collection but it just wasn't coming together. Instead, I wore Babydoll alone for a few days. Then I came back to the collection and thought about this dotticure over my bare nail look. You can easily see how different each shade is. This reminds me of champagne! Throw some gold dots in there, and this is a fun, subdued New Year's Eve look. I had to matte it :)

I really do love neutrals, and what's great is that none of these gave my lobster hands! There is definitely a neutral for every skin tone here! And these are perfect colors for mannequin hands!
You can find the Exposed Polishes HERE. Each one retails for $6.50 for 15 mL bottle. The price point is great! There are 6 neutral base polishes in this collection. LeChat also sells gel polish, dip powders, regular polish, and so much more so definitely take your time browsing.

ReplyDeleteYour dotticure is great! I tried a gradient with these today, but they were just too sheer. I love everything about this collection though!
