Literary Lacquers The Ocean at the End of the Lane Trio

Press Sample

Hello! I had a busy day today so I apologize for the late night post! I wanted to share the new Literary Lacquers trio that will be part of the brand's Grand Re-Opening. I'm kind of disappointed in myself that I haven't tried Literary Lacquers until now. I mean....I have two degrees in Literature and teach it. Shame on me! Well this trio is inspired by Neil Gaiman's The Ocean at the End of the Lane. I actually have this book waiting on my bookshelf! I absolutely loved reading Coraline  and listening to him speak, so I don't know what I'm waiting for!

As my first time using Literary Lacquers, I just want to mention the brush! The cap is rather long and the brush is wide, and it makes it very easy to use. If you get polish on your cuticles while polishing, I don't think you'll have that issue with these brushes! It was great to use!

Swaying Grayly: 3 coats.  This is a matte light grey polish packed with silver flakes and glass fleck. I love matte polishes and adore how this looks matte. It's soft but still edgy. With top coat, the flakes sparkle and it looks almost metallic. I think this is my favorite of the trio! I love a good grey.

Here it is with top coat and then in the sun. It almost looks like holo sparkle!

Lettie’s Ocean: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a soft turquoise holo with holo sparkle bits. This went on buttery smooth.

Here is Lettie's Ocean in direct sunlight! The holo flame is medium, which I prefer. It lets the turquoise shine!

Miner’s Gift: 2 coats plus top coat. This is a blue/purple multichrome with holographic microglitter. It definitely needs top coat to get that shine. This is a rich color! I actually want this on my toes!

I had to do quick nail art with this trio! I like to see how trios coordinate when they are marketed together. I think they go well together! I love this color combo! And I need to read this book!

Literary Lacquers will be reopening up shop on June 23rd (tomorrow!). This trip is part of the new core collection and will be available. Polishes will retail for $10 and $12 based on the finish.

I'll be back with a few other polishes from Literary Lacquers tomorrow at noon MDT, including some gifts with purchase and returning favorites!
