Fourth of July Nails

 Press Sample

Hello everyone! At the very last minute, I decided to go to Jamaica for a week. Like literally booked at three days before I left. I landed at 9 o’clock at night and went to work the next day at 8 AM lol. Then 1.5 days later, I am packing up again to go on vacation for the Fourth of July weekend. But I really wanted Fourth of July nails and so this is what I squeezed out in between trips today lol. And for my Canadian friends, happy belated Canada Day.

By the way, I wore KBShimmer Guava Nice Day to my trip to Jamaica. It was the perfect pastel neon. I almost wore one of her new summer neons, but I love that pastel and how tan it makes me look lol. My dominant hand had two chipped nails, but my non-dominant lasted a full week of being in the Caribbean Sea and in pools!

I love doing holiday-themed nails, and I feel like that went to the wayside a little bit this year and so I really wanted to go away for the weekend with red, white, and blue nails. I found inspiration on Pinterest and saw a different aspects of this manicure on different manicures. So of course, I combined a few to make this look.

Here are the colors I used! I went with all cremes. I debated a shimmery white base, but it's so hot here, I went with the KB white creme which has such an opaque and easy formula.

  • White: KBShimmer White Here White Now
  • Green: Zoya Ness
  • Blues: Zoya Bunny, Morgan Taylor Blue-Eyed Beauty, Jessica Cosmetics Adios MF!
  • Reds: Zoya Frankie, Morgan Taylor Classic Red Lips

I seriously cannot draw stars so despite wanting festive stars for the holiday, I knew it wasn’t worth the frustration I would experience. So I opted with stripes and red and blue fruit. I think this came out so cute. Also, I have had a super cute blueberry nail art on my to-do list forever, so yay for finally doing some aspect of them

I painted with the red first because I wanted it to dry and it still smooshed! LOL. But whatever, I am human and this is still cute (simply do not look toooo close) haha.

I hope you have a lovely and safe holiday weekend!
